Vincent Joseph Keane, 81, of Seabrook, Texas, passed away peacefully at home on May 31, 2023 surrounded by loved ones. After a short battle with Esophageal cancer, the Lord called him home.
Vincent was born on February 2, 1942, in Queens, New York, to Patrick J. Keane and Mary J. Naylon, and the 4th of six children. He was preceded in death by his loving wife Ann Pratt Keane, his parents and 3 brothers, Dick, Jerry, and Tommy. He is survived by his 2 sisters Kathy and Babs, his 6 children – Michael, Sharon, Michelle, Vincent, Kathy, and Roger: 13 grandchildren – Nicholas, Ryan, Alex, Haley, Kyle, Matthew, Taylor, Madison, Drew, Reed, Owen, Tate, and Greta and 12 great-grandchildren – Josie, Ellie, Parker, Peyton, Charli, Addie, Kian, Caylee, Braxton, Gunner, Serenity and Mya.
He was a man of faith and lived life to the fullest. He had an undeniable Irish charm and loved to sing and dance. His favorite song was “My Way” by Frank Sinatra and how he chose to live his life.
He never met a stranger and brought smiles to everyone he met – family, friends, neighbors, and strangers alike. He was the epitome of joy and loved getting a laugh from anyone and everyone. He loved playing cards, games, gardening, eating, and making his favorite recipe “Clam Dip” to bring to every occasion. He loved attending his grandkids sports – he was their biggest fan! Oh, and did we mention – he loved playing slots at the casinos @Gulfport, Mississippi and Lake Charles, LA.
He will be missed by so many. He may be gone physically, but his spirit will live forever in our hearts.
Announcement:
To honor his memory, the family will be taking his ashes to Cheraw, South Carolina to bury him next to his beloved wife in a private ceremony followed by a Celebration of Life at a later date. There will be no services or memorial held here in Houston.

Whenever I feel blue I only have to think of my witty brother-in-law and his warm smile. He has passed his smile on to all of us when we think of him. Love you Vinny & will miss you.
Whenever I think of my Uncle Vinny a big smile comes across my face. He loved to tease and could always make me laugh. I loved listening to him sing and loved watching him and Ann dance. What a wonderful couple they made. Happy they are together again. Tim & I will miss you very much. RIP❤️
Vinny was not only my uncle, but my friend & travel buddy too. Funny, adventurous and never let moss grow under his feet. I know you will be watching over me on my travels, especially when I am in the casinos! Love you & will miss you so very much.
I was so sorry to hear of his passing. As hard as it is, he is at peace. Remember all the wonderful times you shared.

Uncle Vinny … truly a charm, always brought smiles to everyone’s faces… I loved it when you sang, you had such a beautiful voice… Your eyes alone would go right through your heart with such a pleasant, happy feeling, you had away with making everyone around you smile and feel the Irish soul inside of you… I am so grateful that I got to see you before this happened… Whenever I see a picture of you still, I can’t help but smile inside so full of love and passion for life… Truly, we will miss you always and forever… Give our love to Windsor hug up in heaven and keep singing those Irish tunes 😘😓🙏🏻 I know you’ll be watching over us all and I know the hurt inside will eventually go away but your love to forever stay ❤️

PopPop will be greatly missed. He truly did light up the room. He always was happy to see me and/or my kiddos. So grateful to have gotten to know this AMAZING character! Love to all of the family. ❤️💞
Our Uncle Vinnie epitomizes the meaning of family. He seemed to attend every Keane family event or holiday, many times driving 10 hours through the night, he wanted to be with his family to tell stories, laugh with you, sing, dance, and of course drink and eat alot. Uncle Vinnie lit up a room when he entered it, he made you forget about any worries on your mind. We cherish the memories from those times. We were lucky have known him and to be able to call him our own.
