Trisha Nicole (Petty) West of Webster Texas passed away unexpectedly on March 27, 2026. Trisha was born in Beaver, Pennsylvania on August 11, 1981. She was deeply loved by her family.  

As a child, Trisha would travel to various parts of the United States to call home. She settled in the Clear Lake Area in 1995. Trisha graduated from Clear Lake High School in 1999 and attended the University of Houston where she earned a Bachelor of Arts in 2005 and Master of Arts – College of Social Work in 2017. In her time at school, she would receive numerous academic honors.  

With her degree, Trisha choose to join the Texas Department of Family and Protective Services – Child Protective Services.  She has been with CPS in various roles for 21 years.

Trisha developed a wide range of interests, such as concert photography, fabricating jewelry and more. She loved to learn new things. From selling jewelry, she grew to love shopping for herself, as Amazon can attest to. She enjoyed antique shopping with her daughter, Layla. Layla was special to her.  She worked to grow and expand on the things Layla enjoyed doing. This became her new focus, from antiquing to spa days.

When given the opportunity, she loved to travel.

During her high school and college years she held a part-time job with Kroger’s. This is where she met David West, whom she later married. They married on June 10, 2007. After a short time, on August 6, 2011, they had a beautiful little girl, Layla Ann. 

Trisha was a loving wife, mother, daughter, sister, aunt and friend to all who knew her. Trisha is survived by her husband, David West, her daughter, Layla Ann West, her father and mother, Steven and Jeannette Petty, her siblings; Erica Petty (son Granger), Steven Petty, Jr (wife Melissa), Elisha Angus (husband Micheal and son Archer), and Jeremy Petty as well as many other loving extended family members and friends.

She will also be missed by her father-in-law and mother-in-law, Larry, Sr and Carmen West, her two brothers-in-law, Richard West and Larry West, Jr (wife Melissa, children Daniel and Lauren) and sister-in-law Natasha West (daughter Arianna).  

She was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Barbara and Charles Moore, her paternal grandparents, Jean and Luther Petty. 

She will be remembered each day by those whose lives she touched. 

It was Trisha wishes to be cremated, so friends and family are cordially invited to a memorial service on Thursday, May 14, 2026 at 4:00 PM at Jeter Memorial Funeral Home, 311 North Friendswood Dr. Friendswood, TX 77546.

      Trisha, I just love that you and your husband named your daughter Layla.
