In Loving Memory

Travis Lee Jantz

December 4, 1974 – September 19, 2021

A chilly December day brought Travis Lee Jantz into this world on the 4th day of the month in 1974, to the delight of his parents: Karen Baker Jantz and Everett Lee Jantz. Travis grew to be an avid outdoorsman with a plethora of interests as his seeking soul discovered what the world had to offer him. After graduating from Danbury High School his undergraduate studies included: Alvin Community College and Barclay College in Haviland, Kansas. He later studied Airway Science at Kansas State University, Salina, Kansas and earned a degree in Piping Design from San Jacinto College, Houston, Texas. He worked as a Mechanical Draftsman.

Travis loved being a husband and father, it was the joy of his life for it was here he knew he was loved unconditionally. His great sense of humor and quick wit made time with him memorable. The fact that he never met a stranger expressed his openness to others. During his lifetime, fishing and “Cowboying” were his highlights. He developed delicious skills as a chef with amazing outcomes on the Grill and BBQ pit. Nuts and bolts and figuring out how things worked made him a great mechanic but not to be undone by his skills with wood and carpentry.

Getting to Jesus before him were his younger sister, Erin and his Dad, Everett. He leaves in the Master’s care: his wife, Trisha Jantz; daughters: Destiny Rogers, Keirsten Hood, and Katelyn (Mel) Del Angel. Also, his Mom, Karen Jantz, and Siblings: Philip (Janet) Jantz, Jarod Jantz (Eric Tittle), and Shaylyn (Travis) Bourque, along with some very special nieces and nephews that made his heart smile.

To know you was to love you, Travis! Thank you for enriching our lives with the joy of you!

We are blessed beyond measure.

Friends are cordially invited to attend a visitation with the family at 10:00 A.M., with the funeral service to begin at 11:00 A.M., on Friday, September 24, 2021 at Friendswood Friends Church, 502 S. Friendswood Dr., Friendswood, TX 77546, with Rev. David Bridges officiating.  A private burial will be held at a later date.

  11. Dear Karen, Philip, Jarod, Shaylyn, all spouses and children,
I was so sorry to hear of Travis’s passing! As I’ve thought of you all this week, I kept picturing Travis, in my mind’s eye, as the bright-eyed cheerful little boy I first met when you moved to Wichita. Maybe he’s like that again now— grinning, playing, mischievous green eyes flashing, being silly with Everett and Erin!
I wish I could be there with you all!
    My love,
    Lisa Tos-Brightup
