In Loving Memory

Thomas Clay Foley

August 7, 1944 – September 10, 2021

Thomas Clay Foley went home to be with the Lord on September 10, 2021.  He was born August 7, 1944 to Rollie Clay and Christine Devary Foley in Lexington, KY.  He graduated from Henry Clay High School and earned a BS degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of Kentucky in 1968.  He worked for Mobil Oil out of Morgan City, LA on offshore rigs.  After getting blown off one, he came to Texas where he went to work for Texas Alkyls.  As the company was bought out a number of times, he stayed in the same place for over 30 years.  He took early retirement from AkzoNobel in his 50's.

It was in Louisiana that he developed his love of Cajun food and music.  He was an avid duck hunter and fisherman, and was a regular patron at American Shooting Center, shooting sporting clays.

He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Beulah Mae Rice Foley, a daughter Karen Allyce Knight and husband Mike.  Also a son Robert James Harvey, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

A graveside service will be held on Saturday, September 25, 2021 at 10:00 A.M. at Forest Lawn Cemetery, 8706 Almeda Genoa Rd., Houston, TX 77075 with Rev. Mike Carlen officiating.
