Robert Randall Whatley

November 30, 1958 – January 16, 2023

Robert Randall Whatley, 64, a lifetime resident of Alvin, Texas passed away on Monday, January 16, 2023.  He was born November 30, 1958 to William R. Whatley and Kathleen Sharp Whatley in LaMarque, Texas.  He graduated from Alvin High School in 1977.

He was a dedicated Construction Superintendent for 25 years with Mission Constructors, Inc.  He always said he would work till the day he died, and he did.  His hobbies included work and an occasional golf game.

Robert was preceded in death by his father, William “Bill” Whatley; brother, Steven Craig Whatley and his grandmother, Lanova Sharp.

He is survived by his wife Deanna Whatley; mother Kathleen Sutton and stepfather Harold Sutton; daughters Jennifer Lauren Whatley and Lindsay Nicole Whatley Parker and husband Timothy Parker; son Randall Nathan Stevens and husband Christopher Anthony Stevens; granddaughter Kynslie Lauren Podraza; grandsons, Brayden Michael Parker and Bentley Nathan Ramirez; his fur babies Sadie and Sugar Whatley; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and cherished friends.

Friends are cordially invited to the visitation with the family on Friday, January 20, 2023 from 5:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. at Jeter Memorial Funeral Home, 311 N. Friendswood Dr., Friendswood, Texas 77546 (281) 992-7200.

The funeral service will be held on Saturday, January 21, 2023 at 2:30 P.M. at Jeter Memorial Funeral Home with Wade Jenkins officiating.  Interment will follow at Oak Park Cemetery in Alvin, Texas.

Pallbearers will include Christopher Stevens, Brayden Parker, Timothy Parker, Ralph Williams, Roberto Flores and Brandon Mendoza.

  1. The old world has lost a good person , who made it a better place. Randy was one of the most patient and kind people I've ever known. My condolences go out to the family, friends and loved ones.
