Robert Gray “Bob” Pillow, age 77, of Friendswood, Texas, passed away peacefully on October 21, 2025. He was born on October 25, 1947, in Little Rock, Arkansas, to Will and Laverne Pillow.
Bob was a devoted husband, father, brother, grandfather, great-grandfather, and uncle whose life was marked by faith, family, and service. He is survived by his beloved wife of 45 years, Carla, his daughter Candace Heredia, and his sons Jason Pillow and Mark Pillow. He was a proud grandfather to Colby, Chloe, Jacob, Christian, Brittany, Cory (Rosa), and Jessi (Steven), and a cherished great-grandfather to seven great-grandchildren. Bob is also survived by his brother John (Charlene) Pillow, brother-in-law Mike (Sue) Armstrong, sisters-in-law Celia Clay and Laura Lockwood, as well as many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends. His devoted caregivers, Paulina and Alexis, shared in his final journey with love and compassion.
Bob was preceded in death by his parents, his sister Betty Brownlow, and his daughter Tina Oberkfell.
A man of steadfast faith, Bob was an active member of Mary Queen Catholic Church and a proud member of the Mary Queen Knights of Columbus Council 8494. His dedication to his church and community reflected his values of service, integrity, and compassion.
Throughout his career, Bob worked for Texas Eastern, Tenneco, and Fluor Daniel before retiring from Jacobs Engineering in 2016. He was well-respected by colleagues for his hard work, loyalty, and kindness.
Bob’s life will be celebrated with visitation on Monday, October 27, 2025, from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m., with a Rosary at 5:30 p.m., at Jeter Memorial Funeral Home Chapel, 311 N. Friendswood Dr., Friendswood, Texas. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow on Tuesday, October 28, 2025, at 10:30 a.m. at Mary Queen Catholic Church, 606 Cedarwood Dr., Friendswood, Texas, with internment at Forest Park Lawndale Cemetery in Houston, Texas.
Serving as pallbearers will be Colby Heredia, Jacob Heredia, Christian Pillow, David Bosley, Pat McCoy, and John Harmon.
Bob will be remembered for his unwavering love for his family, his devotion to his faith, and the joy he brought to those blessed to know him. His legacy of kindness, generosity, and strength will live on in the hearts of all who loved him.
