March 25, 1944 – January 28, 2026
Robert (Bob) Eugene Angel, born March 25, 1944, passed away surrounded by the love of his family. Robert lived a life defined by hard work, devotion, and deep affection for those closest to him. He is survived by his wife of 26 years, Billie Angel, who remained his steadfast partner and companion.
Robert was a proud father to two daughters, Teresa Young and Stephanie (Jess) Mayfield. He is also survived by his three siblings—Ronald Chambers, Aubrey White, and Gale Silvers—along with six grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren, each of whom held a special place in his heart. His happiest moments were spent being “Papoo” especially when the kids filled his home with laughter during their visits.
From a young age, Robert discovered his passion for craftsmanship. He began working in a machine shop as a boy and diligently worked his way up to become a journeyman machinist. Over the years, he earned a reputation for his remarkable skill and deep knowledge of the equipment used in refineries and chemical plants. His specialty was bearings—a field in which he became widely respected. Robert retired from Rivak Turbo Machinery as manager of the bearing shop, ending his career doing exactly what he loved.
Robert is preceded in death by his late wife, Yvonne Sedberry Angel, and his parents, Ada Marie and Donald Angel, who surely welcomed him home with open arms.
Those who knew Robert will remember him as a kind, capable, and steady presence—a man who worked with his hands, loved deeply, and cherished his family above all else. His legacy lives on in the generations he leaves behind and in the many lives he touched through his work and friendship.
May he rest in peace, reunited with those who went before him.
Friends are invited to visitation with the family on Saturday, February 14, 2026 at 10:00 AM. Service will follow at 11:00 AM at Jeter Memorial Funeral Home, 311 N. Friendswood Dr., Friendswood, TX 77546.
