Rayford James Hull age 73 of Friendswood, Texas passed away Sunday, May 10, 2026.
Rayford was a life-long student of the martial arts and during his life he earned his 3rd degree black belt in Shotokahn Karate, a first degree black belt in Tae-Kwon-Do and a first degree black belt in Aikido. As a successful martial artist, instructor and entrepreneur, Sensei Hull owned three martial arts dojos across central Texas under the name Rayford Hull’s American Shotokahn Karate.
Rayford is preceded in death by his mother Christine Marguerite Hassell, his father Morton James (Bud) Hull and his sister Glenda Laseter. He is survived by wife Tonya Jean Lang Hull, stepdaughter Cassie (aka his girl), stepdaughter Brandi Fuentes, and a stepson Michael Lang and daughter in law Maggie Mahmood, two sisters Celestine West and Karen Wallace, brother Lavon Hull, and five grand children; Amos Davila, Gracefully Davila, Clarity Davila, Christian Lang, and Roman Fuentes.
Family and friends are cordially invited to the Funeral services on Tuesday, May 19, 2026 held at Jeter Memorial Funeral Home. 311 North Friendswood Dr. Friendswood, TX 77546. Visitation will begin at 1:00 PM and the service will begin at 2:00 PM, with the interment following at South Park Cemetery, 1310 N Main St. Pearland, TX 77581.
We love you Rayford. You will never be forgotten.
