September 6, 1943 – April 5, 2026
Patricia Ann Rogers, 82 was born September 6, 1943, in Texas City, Texas to Ruth Catherine Friloux and Jay Carl Jackson. On Easter Sunday April 5, 2026, Patty went to be with her Lord and Savior surrounded at home by her husband, children, beloved sister Marylyn of La Marque and family. True always to her faith from an early age having been baptized at Queen of Peace in 1943 when it was still a mission in Dickinson, Patty continued to attend Queen of Peace when it became a Parish in La Marque deciding with husband Ronnie that their 3 children would attend Queen of Peace Parochial School as well from 1971 to 1983. As true to her faith as she was, she likewise was faithful to family benefitting from the always and ever-present closeness of her mother Ruth and sister Marylyn and Marylyn’s 3 children, beloved niece Stacy and nephews Justin and Chad. The love and support she received from Marylyn and as well as the close bond all the cousins shared ensured one large, secure and always extended family throughout the last 58 years of her life.
Patricia is preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by her faithful husband of 56 years Ronnie, supportive and guiding sister in law Judith Mackie, brother C.G. Schwoebel of Cibolo, sons Scooter of Alvin, Josh and wife Debbie of Friendswood, daughter Courtney Freeman of League City, stepson David of Magnolia, grandchildren Madison Bentley and husband Kenneth of Oklahoma, Jacob Rogers of Friendswood, and Sydney Freeman of League City. The family would like to acknowledge with grateful and sincere thanks fellow Queen of Peace parishioners Helen Auzenne and late husband Benjamin for over 56 years of faithful and uplifting friendship as well as to Kathy Johnson, Martha Bellow, Rita Guillory, Bo Hunter, Maria Phinney and especially Sarah Johnson who regularly wrote letters of encouragement and sent cards of well wishes and prayers faithfully over the last nine years during Patty’s battle with cancer.
Special Thanks also to Magnolia Hospice as well as caregiver and best friend Lynette Hessler and Ms. Rosetta Cooper, and longtime neighbors and faithful Alvin friends Audrey Hatley, Carole Pyrtle and Margaret Rollingson.
Visitation will be held Thursday, April 9, 2026, from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm, with a rosary at 7:30 pm at Jeter Memorial Funeral Home in Friendswood. Funeral services will be Friday, April 10, 2026, at 10:00 am at Queen of Peace Catholic Church, 1224 Cedar Dr, La Marque, TX 77568 with Monsignor James B. Anderson officiating. A graveside service will follow at Mt. Olivet Catholic Cemetery in Dickinson, after which family and friends are invited to return to the church for a reception and time of remembrance.
