In Loving Memory

Misty Pauline Loyd Flores

March 10, 1979 – November 25, 2021

In the short 42 years that Misty Pauline Loyd Flores lived on this earth she has left a legacy.  She was born March 10, 1979 in Amarillo, Texas to Walt Loyd and Debra Canada and left this earth on November 25, 2021 unexpectedly in her home located in Deer Park, Texas.  She made the most of every minute.  Anyone who knew her, loved her.  She never missed an opportunity to bless others.  She would give her last dime to anyone who needed it and always went the extra mile for all around her.  Life took on new meaning as she brought Abcde into this world just before she turned 26.  From that day forward she chose to be the best mom anyone could ask for.  She leaves behind her legacy in her children both born to her and brought into her life when she met Alfred.  Jasmine and Xavier added so much joy and love to her life when they entered into her world.  Papas rounded out her dream family when he was born in 2008.  She and Alfred put everything on the line for their children and they are now left to carry the torch to make their Momma proud.  When Alfred first got sick over 5 years ago, Misty rose to the challenge and worked tirelessly as well as went back to college to obtain her associates degree from San Jacinto Community College and achieve her dream of completing her degree.  She was so proud of her accomplishment as she modeled for her children what hard work and perseverance will give you.

Besides spending time with her family and friends, Misty was an amazing cook, could grow anything in the soil, loved to garage sale, could throw the best get togethers, and had a zest for life.  She made such an impact, with her passion for life and doing for others.

Misty is survived by her husband Alfred Flores, her daughters Abcde and Jasmine, her sons Alfred "Papas" and Xavier, her Father Walt Loyd of Kemah, Tx, her Mother Debra Ashby of Hale Center, Tx, her sisters Sabrina & husband William Lucero Jr of Hale Center, Tx and Jana & husband Carl Fields of Wills Point, Tx, her brother, Jayson Ashby of Amarillo, Tx,  numerous Aunts/Uncles, Neice/nephews, cousins, and extended family.

She was welcomed to Heaven by her grandparents, Woodrow & Delta Canada, and Riley & Ruby Hooper.

A celebration of life will be held Friday, December 10, 2021 at 11am at Clear Creek Community Church (CCCC) – Clear Lake Campus located at 16743 Diana Ln, Houston, Texas under the direction of Dr. Case Ricks.
