In Loving Memory

Melissa Lampp

July 5, 1973 – June 8, 2022

Melissa Lampp, 48, went home to be with Jesus, Wednesday morning, June 8, 2022 at home after a courageous battle with breast cancer.  She was surrounded by the people she loved.  Melissa was such a special woman with such a beautiful faith, a faith that kept her going through her 6 year battle.

Melissa loved life.  She grew up in Katy, Texas and was raised by her mother, Mary Hosea.  Melissa graduated high school in 1991 from Mayde Creek High School.  She developed some very long lasting friendships from her childhood that she cherished deeply to this day.  Melissa attended Houston Baptist University earning her Bachelor's of Business Administrations and Marketing in 2000.

Melissa will be remembered for her beautiful smile that would light up a room. The way she always made sure everyone was doing good and putting others before herself.  Melissa had such a gift of compassion and empathy.  She had so many amazing relationships, most cherished was her relationship with her mom, Mary.  They were a mother and daughter who had such a special bond and such a love for each other.

Melissa loved to cook and bake and was always trying new recipes.  Her love of decorating is shown throughout her home and her sense of style was one that can only be described as "Melissa style".  Her love of Christmas was contagious.  She had such a love for animals and her precious Shitzuh Parker was her baby.

Melissa has always had a brilliant mind and was very creative.  Melissa has worked for some wonderful organizations which include Mainspring Capital, The Houston Rockets and Houston Comets, Saks 5th Avenue, Williams Sonoma and J.F. Management.  Melissa also worked as the personal assistant to the Dean at Houston Baptist University, College of Business while attending HBU.

Melissa was preceded in death by her step-father, Abbott Hosea, her grandmother Esther Lampp and her grandfather William Lampp, Sr.

She is survived by her mother, Mary Hosea, her father, William Lampp Jr., her brother Eric Hosea and wife Amy and her nephew Sammy and many cousins.  Melissa is also survived by her dear friends who loved her and will miss her.
