Martha "Peggy" Louise Price Jones, 89, of Friendswood, TX passed away on August 4, 2021.
Peggy was born on November 19, 1931 in Crystal Springs, MS to Martha "Tuggie" and William Welby Jones. She attended Copiah-Lincoln Community College where she met and married her husband Bill Jones.
Peggy loved volunteering. She was director of Volunteer services for Boliver County Hospital in MS. She volunteered for Helping Hands in Cleveland, MS and also for the City of Friendswood Senior Citizen Program. She lived in Village on the Park for almost 10 years where she made many friends with staff and residents.
She is survived by her 3 sons and their wives, Dr. William P. and Ana Jones, Jeff Jones, and Timothy Sean and Iva Jones. She leaves behind 9 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren.
We will miss her beautiful southern drawl and her culinary instructions. She was an excellent cook with a great sense of humor and a robust laugh to go with it. Rest in peace Mama.
A private memorial service will be held on her birthday in November to celebrate her life.
