Marion Eugene Aucoin

August 15, 1927 – December 17, 2022

Marion Eugene Aucoin, 95, loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, uncle and friend of Friendswood, TX passed away peacefully with family and caregivers by his side on Saturday, December 17, 2022.

Marion was born August 15, 1927 to Maurice and Anna L. Aucoin in Bogalusa, LA.  He was preceded in death by his parents; his brother, Maurice Aucoin; sisters, Mary V. Duplechain and Margaret Johnson; his wife of 65 years, June Courmier Aucoin; daughters, Diana Lynn Aucoin and Sharon Anne Miles.

Marion is survived by his daughter, Paula Moore and husband Balor; son-in-law, Tommy Miles; 4 grandchildren, Robert Miles and wife Dawn, Joe Miles and wife Erica, Baylor Moore and wife Stephanie, Diana Harper and husband Matthew; and 9 great-grandchildren, Ryan Miles, Kourtney Hennigan, Autumn Miles, Ayden Miles, Trevor Moore, Bree Moore, Riley Harper, Reese Harper, Eli Harper and many loving nieces, nephews, family and friends.

Marion was a proud alumni of St. Thomas High School.  He served in the Merchant Marines during WWII.  He was a good athlete who pitched fast pitch softball for a men’s league in Houston during the late 40’s.  He worked for Texas Alkyls as a chemical plant manager for most of his career and enjoyed gardening.  He always found time to attend his children and grand-children’s sporting events.  During his senior years, he was honored to attend his great-grandchildren’s games.

Friends are cordially invited to the visitation with the family on Thursday, January 5, 2023 at 12:00 P.M. with the funeral service to follow at 1:00 P.M. at Jeter Memorial Funeral Home, 311 N. Friendswood Dr., Friendswood, TX 77546 with Rev. Bill Cole officiating.  A private family burial will follow at Forest Park Lawndale Cemetery in Houston, TX.

In lieu of flowers, the family request donations be made in his memory to St. Thomas High School at www.sths.org/support/fundraising/memorialgifts.
