Marian Jean “Jeanie” Martin Farina entered Heaven’s Gate on April 25th, 2026, surrounded by her dearest loved ones and family.

Born on December 10, 1947, in Houston, Texas to Marian Francis Carey and raised in Pearland, she attended Pearland High School and went on to further her studies at College of the Mainland.  She was introduced to her husband, Earl Farina, through a double date in Galveston, Texas. They were blessed with three loving daughters – Deborah Lynn, Kelly Jean, and Kalene Annette.

Jeanie listed one of her favorite Bible verses as Proverbs 10:22 “The blessing of the Lord makes rich, and he adds no sorrow with it.” Jeanie was made “rich” by her loving family.

She is survived by her daughter Deborah “Debbie” Barnhill and close family friend Debra “Debbie” Stormer of Somerville, daughter Kelly Wilson and husband Stephen of League City, and daughter Kalene Bennett and husband Kelly of Santa Fe. Jeanie is also survived by grandchildren Rachel Bennett and wife Erin of Riverdale, Georgia, Scott Barnhill and Blair Banker of Houston, Sarah Bennett of Santa Fe, Lauren Barnhill of College Station, Brooke Bennett and Jackson Manis of Dickinson, Cameron Bennett and fiancé Mia of Manor, Madison Wilson, and Aiden Wilson of League City. Grandma Jeanie was made Great by her great-grandchildren – Addison, Reese, and Blakely Wortham, and Norah and Archer Barnhill.

She is further survived by her sister Rhonda Baker of Pearland, dearest sister-cousins Pam Miller of Conroe and Kim Wilkinson-Fox and husband Mark of Montgomery, close friend and roommate Lisa Skorich, as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Jeanie was preceded in death by Earl Farina, husband of 41 years, her mom Marian Carey, her aunt Norma Wilkinson, and her brother James Oliver Martin.

A devoted and faithful servant of God, Jeanie’s faith was the cornerstone of her life. As a dedicated member of Living Stones Church, she was heavily involved in the Senior Bible Study Group led by Ed Lauzon. Her unwavering faith, grace, and servant’s heart were an inspiration to all who knew her. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered by all who knew and loved her.

A funeral service will be held on April 29, 2026, at 2:00 PM at Jeter Memorial Funeral Home, 311 North Friendswood Dr. Friendswood, TX 77546, with an hour of visitation beginning at 1:00 pm. A brief graveside service will follow at Hays Grace Memorial Park Cemetery, 10708 State Highway 6, Hitchcock, TX 77563.

Pallbearers will be Scott Barnhill, Cameron Bennett, Jackson Manis, Thomas Clement, Trevor Trerice, & Jonah Clark.
