Joan Elizabeth (Rock) Michel passed away in Friendswood, TX on September 2, 2026 with loving friends at her side. She was born June 26, 1958 in Troy, NY to George A. Rock and Virginia (Graves) Rock. She was preceded in death by her loving husband George Michel
Joan made many friends in Texas. She loved all types of music but especially Elvis. She was a proud member of the Vince King Fan Club where she was loved by all that new her. Joan’s other pastimes were playing Canasta, Pinochle and Poker with Starbucks coffee at her side.
Friends will gather to celebrate her life on Sunday afternoon, September 20th, at 4:00 PM at Birroparetti’s Restaurant, 400 W Parkwood Ave, Friendswood, TX 77546.

I met Joan this February on a Cruise, she was a very nice woman, we became friends and did lots of things together on the Cruise. I’ve seen her many times since while following Vince King shows. She will be very missed. Rest in Peace Joan!
I have many fond memories of my sister Joan. I celebrated her life when she was living and celebrate it more in her passing. Before she passed I was able to have long talks and shared our life together. Joan will be missed and Love is being sent with her in her passing. Hugs “Sis” and Much Love and fondness. Sorry to see you gone but I do understand. Maybe now you will be with your twin and enjoy your laughter and love you had with her. You are missed by all!!
