September 8, 1929 – November 9, 2021

Dorothy Maxine Wimberley Casey, 92, passed away on Tuesday, November 9, 2021.  Dorothy was born on September 8, 1929, to Lottie Fay Sherrod and Clarence H. Wimberley in Abilene, Texas. She graduated from Abilene High School in 1947. She met Rollie B. Casey, Jr. when he moved with his parents to Abilene and they were both 16 years old. They married on Thanksgiving Day on November 24, 1949, in her parents’ home in Abilene.

Shortly after getting married, Rollie and Dorothy moved to Houston where Rollie had been raised. In 1951, Rollie established an electrical contracting business with Dorothy managing the office. Casey Electric Company grew to be the largest non-union electrical company in Houston at that time.  She later obtained her real estate brokers’ license in Texas and Tennessee and worked in real estate for over twenty years.

Dorothy and her husband of almost 72 years had three children. Brenda Diane Casey Frank was born October 24, 1952; Randall Charles Casey was born April 4, 1954, and Sharon Kay Casey Martindale was born August 11, 1955. Dorothy also had eight grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren.
