Carolyn Frances Dotter

September 23, 1942 – August 9, 2022

Carolyn Frances Heger Dotter of Manvel, Texas passed away on Tuesday, August 9, 2022 at the age of 79. Carolyn was the second youngest child of Louis Rudolph Heger and Frieda Bertha Grolich Heger of Seguin, Texas. She was preceded in death by her parents, her oldest sister and brother-in-law Mary Louise and Rocky Revisore, brother-in-law Charley Cole, and her granddaughter Chloe Christine Terrell. 

Survivors include her loving husband of 55 years Dennis Dotter, daughter Jill Terrell and husband Darrell, son Robert Dotter and wife Kimberly, grandchildren Chase Terrell, Noah Terrell, Payton Terrell, Cohen Dotter, Tripp Dotter, and Josephine Dotter, her brothers Tony Heger and his wife Joan, Robert Heger and his wife Marcia, her sister Barbara Cole, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Carolyn grew up in a caring family, graduated from Seguin High School, and went on to earn her bachelor’s degree in Education from Southwest Texas State University. She met her husband, Dennis, in San Marcos and together they built their family in Clear Lake City. She retired from Clear Creek Independent School District after 34 years of service as a teacher. She enjoyed reading, sewing, quilting, ancestry research, traveling, watching Texas A&M football, taking care of grandkids, and being the best mom and grandmother. Carolyn was also very devoted to the Catholic Church and served as a member of the choir and altar society. She dedicated her life to serving God and those who crossed her path.

Her final resting place will be at Mount Olivet Catholic Cemetery in Dickinson, Texas with her granddaughter Chloe. We are comforted knowing she is with her guardian angel and all her family members who passed before her, including all our ancestors she researched for so many years. May God wrap His arms around her and love her for eternity.  We will all miss her very much!

A visitation will be held 5:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. Thursday August 18, 2022 at Jeter Memorial Funeral Home 311. N. Friendswood Dr. Friendswood, Texas 77546 with Deacon David Bowman officiating.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10:30 A.M. Friday August 19, 2022 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church located at 110 E. South Street Alvin, Texas 77511 Rev. John Taosan officiating.

Pall Bearers: Chase Terrell, Noah Terrell, David Sosa, Brandon Dotter, Mark Albores, Chad Barksdale, Honorary Pall Bearers: Cohen Dotter, Tripp Dotter.

Interment will be in Mt. Olivet Catholic Cemetery on a later date.

Memorial contributions may be made to: St. John’s the Baptist Catholic Church 110 E. South Street Alvin, TX 77511.
