March 7, 1939 – November 24, 2021

William Thomas Reynolds, 82, of Alvin, TX passed away on Wednesday, November 24, 2021 in San Antonio, TX.  William was born on March 7, 1939 in Center, TX to parents Robert Burl and Mary Louise Reynolds.  He graduated from Crosby High School Class of 1957 and graduated from Lamar University in Beaumont with a Bachelor’s degree in Business.  William proudly served in the United States Navy from 1957 to 1961. 

William married his high school sweetheart, Hedda Mae Seaberg, on January 7, 1961.  They recently celebrated their 60^th wedding anniversary.  He was a long time resident of Alvin for 50 years and he worked as a financial and systems executive with Shell Oil Company in Houston for 27 years.  William was an avid fisherman, woodworker, gardener, competitive rifle marksman and worldclass tinkerer.  He could repair or build absolutely anything and loved to travel and teach his grandchildren new things.

He is predeceased by his parents and sister, Joyce Ruth Byerly

He is survived by his wife Hedda of Alvin, TX; his son, Michael Reynolds and wife Sheri of Navasota, TX; his daughter, Valerie and husband Pendleton Wickersham of San Antonio, TX; his 4 grandchildren:  Bryce Reynolds of Seattle, WA, Brynn Reynolds of Denton, TX, Kay Wickersham of Boulder, CO and Will Wickersham of San Antonio, TX; and his brother, Clarence Bruce Reynolds and wife Kathy of Georgetown, TX.

Friends are cordially invited to attend a visitation with the family on Thursday, December 2, 2021 from 5:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. at Jeter Memorial Funeral Home, 311 N. Friendswood Dr., Friendswood, TX 77546, (281) 331-7200. 

A graveside service will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Friday, December 3, 2021 at Magnolia Park Cemetery, 600 FM 1008, Dayton, TX 77535.

The family recommends memorials be made in his name to the scholarship fund at First United Methodist Church of Alvin. 611 W. South Street, Alvin, TX 77511.
