December 30, 1969 – March 16, 2025
Warren Earl "Smitty" Smith (otherwise known as "Babe" to his kids), 55, of League City, Texas, passed away on March 16, 2025. Born on December 30, 1969, in Humacao, Puerto Rico, Warren’s life was a testament to dedication, loyalty, and love for his family, friends, and country.
Warren proudly served in the United States Marine Corps, upholding the values of honor, integrity, and service. After his military service, Warren pursued a career in law-enforcement with the League City Police Department, then a higher education, graduating Magna Cum Laude from the University of Houston-Clear Lake with a bachelor’s degree in Environmental Management, before moving into a career as an environmental engineer in the plants.
Outside of his professional achievements, Warren found great joy in the outdoors. An avid hunter and fisherman, he was deeply connected to nature and spent many cherished moments in the company of those he loved out at the Crescent River Ranch. Warren’s love for craftsmanship shone through in his passion for woodworking and dog training, hobbies that reflected both his patience and skill.
Above all, Warren was a protector—always standing by his loved ones with unwavering support and devotion. His presence will be deeply missed, but his legacy of kindness, strength, and loyalty will live on in the hearts of all who knew him.
Warren is survived by his beloved wife, Nicole; his children, Riley, Makenna, and Colby; his brother, Harold and his wife, Wendy; their daughter Harlie and her husband Russell; his sisters, Regina and her children Matthew and Justin; Sherrie, her husband Wade, and their children Jonathan and Melissa; as well as many other loving family members and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Harold Sr. and Judy.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to a charity of choice supporting Veterans in Warren’s memory.
May his memory be a source of comfort and strength to those who mourn his passing.

I am so very sorry to hear that Warren lost his fight with cancer. We were friends back in MYF. I was one of the people who wrote letters of support when he went to boot camp. He loved being a Marine. I remember that. I was glad to reconnect with him even though it was briefly. I know he will be missed immensely. He was always the sweetest person. Your family has been in my thoughts and prayers. May God bring you some comfort.
So sorry for your loss, our sincere condolences to the family, we are praying for your family at this very difficult time.
