In Loving Memory

Thomas Gregory Sharp

October 21, 1964 – December 13, 2022

Thomas Gregory Sharp, 58, beloved son, brother, husband, father, PaPa, and friend passed away on Tuesday, December 13, 2022, after a long and courageous battle with ALS (Lou Gehrig’s Disease).

Tom was born in Texas City on October 21, 1964. He graduated from Alvin High School in 1983, and was number 6 in his graduating class.  He was awarded several scholarships, along with a full athletic scholarship to Texas Christian University (TCU) where he played football as a defensive back for 4 years (#42).  With an enduring passion for the sport, Tom not only coached his sons, Tyler & Bryce but remained a little league coach for 14 years with his dad, “Old Coach Sharp.”

Despite the many debilitating health challenges from ALS, Tom stayed busy and generously lived with others in mind. He cherished his family, especially his 3 grandchildren, and the farm where he graciously was able to spend the last year and a half of his life.

Tom was preceded in death by his son, Tyler Sharp, niece Kelly Sharp and his 6 grandparents.

He leaves behind his adored wife Marie, daughter Megan Griffin, husband Tyson, and their 3 children, Jaxon, Gracie, & Easton; son Bryce; parents, Rick & Patty Sharp; 4 brothers, Rick, wife Tammy, Steve, wife Yvonne, Kenny, wife Dianne, Scott, wife Stephanie; mother-in-law, Ann Shiver, sisters-in-law, Vicki Stephens, & Jennifer Shimek, husband, Brandon; 16 nieces and nephews.

The family would also like to acknowledge Megan, Tyson, Bryce, Sierra & DeDe for being such wonderful caregivers to Tommy and for helping to make his life comfortable.

Services will be held on Tuesday, December 20, 2022 at Gateway Community Church at 2:00 pm which is located at 760 Clear Lake City Blvd. Webster, Texas, 77598.  Reception will immediately follow in the Life Center.  In honor of Tommy, and the support of his TCU Horned Frogs, we are asking that you wear hints of purple.

In lieu of flowers, please “make a gift” designated to Texas Christian University’s Frog Club for Scholarships for Student Athletes: https://advancement.tcu.edu/new/makeagift/

“Well done my good and faithful servant, come into your reward.” A huge void will be ever present in all the lives Tommy has touched. I will miss him tremendously but know he is whole and with Tyler and in the arms of Jesus. Until we meet again Tommy, save a place for me. I love you and promise to be by your family’s side as we walk this journey without you. 💔

To The Sharp Family, Please accept our deepest sympathies on the passing of Tom. Since Tom and Marie moved from Los Alamos N.M. we have stayed in touch mostly via the family annual Christmas card, (thank you Marie for keeping us on that list) Our family has grown to admire and pray for the Sharp Family as they took on the task of ALS that effected them all. The courage shown by Tom as his disabilities became more acute, and by Marie, Megan, Tyson and Bryce as they took on the challenges, with Tom, as a family. I learned many lesions from Tom and Family as they reported, with candor the summary of the previous year. Tom was the author until the last year, I believe. What a blessing for us to be included in that journey. Now you begin a new journey with the strength and experience that hopefully is a blessing to you and your families, we will continue to pray for you all and stand in awe of Toms' courage, the courage of his Family, and the grace and wisdom of Our Lord Jesus. May He lighten your load going forward, and continue to bless both you and us with the story shared.

  4. Hey there! I just wanted to ask if you ever have any
problems with hackers? My last blog (wordpress) was hacked and
I ended up losing many months of hard work due to no data backup.
Do you have any solutions to stop hackers?

  5. Another blistering night here, the kind where the air itself feels like it's suffocating you.
I found myself logged into casino again. It's usually my nighttime escape when the
    heat finally relents.

Honestly, lately, the wins have been rarer than a cool breeze in the daytime.
My balance is looking precariously small, and I'm starting to sweat more about the wife
finding out than the actual games. She's been giving me that look, you
    know?

My so-called 'buddy' – the one who's always hanging about,
practically looking over my shoulder – he's always on here too.

And the infuriating thing? He's constantly on a lucky streak.
Slots like slot_game_1 and slot_game_2, even that crazy aviator_game
where the plane takes your money and runs.
He even brags about his wins on slot_game_3 and slot_game_4.

It's like this place is playing favorites. Makes you wonder, doesn't it?
Especially with the way he looks at my wife when she's not looking.

Makes a man paranoid, this heat does.

Despite all that, and maybe it's just stubbornness, I still find myself
drawn to favorite_slot_game. There's something about those sweet symbols
that keeps me clicking, even when the numbers aren't falling my
    way.

Maybe tonight will be different. Maybe the gaming spirits will finally throw
me a bone. Or maybe my wife will just throw me out.
Either way, here I am, spinning again at
    sportsbook.

    Pros:
Available 24/7 (perfect for my late-night sessions)
Wide variety of games (even if some seem to favor certain people)
They do have favorite_slot_game, which I genuinely enjoy

    Cons:
My personal luck here has been incredibly bad
Seeing him win constantly is incredibly frustrating
Starting to seriously impact my finances at home and relationships

Overall: Divided. It's a convenient way to pass the long, heated
hours, but my recent experiences and observations
are making me seriously question if it's worth the risk.
Especially with everything else going on.

  6. Hey there! Do you know if they make any plugins to assist with
SEO? I'm trying to get my blog to rank for some targeted keywords but I'm not seeing very good results.
If you know of any please share. Cheers!
