The Lord called Thomas Courtney Kirklin home on June 20th, 2022. He was 68 years old. Tommy, a native Houstonian, was born on August 4th, 1953 and he is predeceased by his parents, B.C. and Betty Kirklin.

His days were made sweeter with his 13 grandchildren, Mark McGinn (Katie), June McGinn, Phillip McGinn, Ivy McGinn, Sunshine McGinn, Joseph Kirklin, Christian Kirklin, Nathan Kirklin, Zachary Kirklin, Jack Harrell, Tilly Harrell, Rex Harrell and Olive Harrell.

Tommy graduated from the University of Houston with a degree in Technical Education. He served as an elder at Friendswood Church of Christ for many years. He loved the scriptures and singing hymns. He had a quiet, gentle and happy spirit and he served his family faithfully with love, patience and kindness.
All his grandchildren agreed that their Poppy could swing them higher than anyone else. On Saturdays, he loved to cook big breakfasts for his family and he especially loved being surrounded by their laughter. He was an encourager who loved serving others. Tommy was the kindest sole I ever met. His love for his family, his church, his God, was beyond compare. He always made people feel welcome and had such a beautiful voice. Because of his faith and love of God, he influence everyone around his life. Ben and I will certainly miss our friend, Tommy.
Tom was always so encouraging and I’m thankful to have known him and his family. May we celebrate a life well lived with full confidence that we will see him again. Thank you Tom for being the hands and feet of Jesus!
I only met and spent time with Tommy a few times, but it didn't take long at all to know his kind and gentle nature and his love for Chris. While I hurt for his family I hope they know how blessed they are to have had him in their lives – clearly he and Chris built a family of love, generosity and faith. The best legacy one could hope for.
I grew up with Tommy and his family. He was always a good friend, a big part of our church youth group and a pretty good softball player. Chris, you and Tommy were blessed so much with a great family. His faith in the Lord carried him through life. I know the last few years have been difficult. His soul is at rest now in the Lord! Amen. Now he, B.C. and Betty are waiting for the rest of us some day. Chris, may your family surround you with love and support in the days ahead.
No matter if some one searches for his essential thing, therefore he/she needs to be available that in detail,
therefore that thing is maintained over here.
