September 4, 1930 – July, 24, 2023

Theresa Irene Mickey Price, age 92, of Alvin, Texas passed away Monday, July 24, 2023 at her home.  Theresa was born on September 4, 1930 in Plainview, Texas.  Theresa graduated from West Texas State University in Canyon, Texas with a B.S. Degree in 1951.  Immediately thereafter, she began her teaching career as an English Teacher in Amarillo, Texas.  Years later, she moved back to her hometown of Plainview to teach her love for Art at Plainview Junior High.  

She found love and married Truman Edward Price at the Church located on the University campus on August 25, 1952.  Theresa in her later life, began a private career of painting landscapes, florals and specializing in western scenery. 

After many moves, Truman and Theresa established a homestead in Alvin, Texas, where they lived out their lives.  Theresa was a loving wife, mother and grandmother who was preceded in death by her parents, Charles Smith and Irene May Mickey and her husband Truman E. Price, sisters Barbara McDonough and Maxine Sorell.

She is survived by her two daughters, Mickie Dietrich and husband, Ron, and Melody Vizi and husband, Alan; sister, Freda Longnecker; three grandchildren, Zack Edward Dietrich, his wife, Loryn, Beth Anne Baros, and husband, Matthew, and Morgan Alie Vizi; and three great grandchildren, Huck Truman Baros, Lakyn Price Dietrich, and Pecos Creigh Baros. 

Graveside services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Friday, July 28, 2023 at Confederate Cemetery, Alvin, Texas.
