September 14, 1976 – July 24, 2022
Sarah Jean (Turner) Gore, 45, of Pearland, Texas went home to be the Lord on July 24, 2022 after a two and a half year battle with metastatic breast cancer.
The funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on July 29, 2022 at Friendswood United Methodist Church located at 110 N. Friendswood Dr., Friendswood, Texas 77546. Funeral arrangements are being handled by Jeter Memorial Funeral Home located at 311 N. Friendswood Dr., Friendswood, Texas 77546.
Sarah was born in Webster, Texas on September 14, 1976. She graduated from Clear Brook High School in 1995. Sarah was married to David Gore on August, 4, 2001. They were married 20 years.
Sarah was a homemaker, loving wife and mother. She received Christ as her Lord and Savior at the age of 10 and served Him faithfully with a compassionate heart for all people, demonstrated through her service inside and outside the church as a deaf interpreter. She was also actively involved at her church, Friendswood United Methodist Church, through many children’s activities. She served as the director of the children’s chime choir, Joyful Noise, and as a Lakeview camp counselor for summer camp. She also served in the handbell choir, Wesleyan Ringers.
Sarah is survived by her beloved husband, David Gore; two treasured children, Thomas and Abigail Gore; her parents, John and Susan Turner; and the families of her two brothers, John (Beth, Ruthie, Timmy and Annie Turner) and Charlie (Amanda, Charley, Malachi, Bear, and Evie Turner). She is also survived by her in-laws, Steve and Ellen Gore; her brother-in-law, Kevin Gore; her sister-in-law, Lindsay Evans and her family (John, Donnie, Charlie, and Joey Evans), as well as many other family and friends.
Sarah is preceded in death by her grandparents, John and Billie Jean Turner, and Howard and Sarabelle Thompson.
Sarah’s life verse was “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me” (Philippians 4:13). She demonstrated her faith in God’s power to strengthen her when facing the challenges of life, especially as she battled cancer. She always had a smile on her face, never complained because she trusted her Savior to give her the victory. Sarah was victorious because she never lost her faith and now, she resides in her permanent home in heaven.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be given to her children, Thomas Gore and Abigail Gore for their future education. Please make checks payable to Edward Jones.

David,
There are a few people that I've met throughout my life that just seem to have a unique, God given spirit. I only got to spend very short periods of time with Sara when she worked at HEB, but I'll never forget her. Her faith, family and care for people radiated from her every time I saw her. She was never without a smile or kind word. She had a gift of making people feel better with just a few words. I'm so sorry for your loss. She will be greatly missed. God Bless
I am so incredibly sorry for your loss. Sarah was a beautiful woman and a beautiful soul. Dave, my heart breaks for you and your children, along with Sarah’s parents and family. I have always admired her. And though so simple, I’m so grateful to her for filming our wedding. We watch that video every year on our anniversary and without fail I tell AJ how glad I am she did that for us. And although it will be different now hearing her lovely narration, she’ll be fondly remembered by us every year.
I am sending so many prayers for peace and healing to you all.
