Sandra "Sandi" Louise Sims Nixon

February 4, 1950 – August 17, 2023

Sandra "Sandi" Louise Nixon, also known as "Sissy" to many, Passed away on August 17, 2023, at the age of 73. She lost her long battle with MS at her home in Friendswood surrounded by the family and friends that love her deeply.

Jeter Memorial Funeral Home in Friendswood will host the Visitation and Funeral Services on Monday, August 28, 2023. Visitation starts promptly at 10:00am and ends at 11:00am. Deacon Vince Ecklund of Mary Queen Catholic Church will be officiating the Funeral Service immediately following the Visitation at 11:00am There will be a procession to Mt. Olivet Cemetery where we will say our final goodbyes to a truly beautiful soul. She was a friend, a sister, a Godmother, an aunt, a daughter, a granddaughter, and finally she was an amazing wife and mother.

Sandra was born in Houston, Texas to Joe and Gloria Sims on February 04, 1950. She graduated from South Houston High school. Shortly after high school she was introduced to Otis Nixon by her friend and his brother Mike Nixon on a blind date and would later marry October 24, 1970. She was diagnosed with MS in 1999 and fought it courageously and with a strength so powerful. Sandra and Otis had twodaughters, Tera and Tami. Tera gave them 4 beautiful and strong.

granddaughters. Taylor, Brianna, McKenna, and Ivy. Sandra was a kind soul who welcomed everyone she met. She always looked for a positive in every negative. One of her favorite things to say was "it is what it is". She made MS look easy, always masking the pain until the pain was unbearable. She won her fight, no more pain and suffering. Time to rest and reunite with daddy. Sweet dreams beautiful, until we see each other again. We love you beyond measure. The hole you left can never be filled, you will be missed greatly and remembered always.

Sandra was preceded in death by her husband Otis Nixon, her father Joe and mother Gloria Sims, and father-in-law Marshall and mother-in-law Colene Nixon.

Sandra is survived by daughter Tera and her husband Jarvis Perdue, daughter Tami Nixon, brother Ron, wife Becky Sims, sister Debbie, husband Mark Clore, granddaughter Taylor Nixon, fiancé Adrian Sotelo, granddaughter Brianna Worrell, granddaughter McKenna Worrell, and granddaughter Ivy Worrell, niece Rachel Clore, niece Megan, husband Micheal Fitz, nephew Connor Clore, niece Faye Bueno and respected family, niece Carrie Sims and respected family, niece and Goddaughter Sonya Wolfe and respected family, nephew and Godson Jason , wife Kathy Christy and respected family, nephew Brandon, wife Nikki Nixon and respected family, niece Niesha, husband Dave Teer and respected family, nephew Chris, wife Erin Graham and respected family, niece Kimberly, husband Jason Lafferty and respected family.

Pallbearers will be Mike Nixon, Brandon Nixon, Dave Teer, Jason Christy, Andrew Christy, and William Christy

The family of Sandra would like to extend our sincere thanks to Anchor Hospice, and the following Nurses, Flora, Diana, Mary, Debbie, Rachel, and Christina. As well as her Aides Sade and Joy. All of them are moms angels, greatly appreciated, and loved.
