She was a heroine to me! I loved her example as I was also born and bred in the UK. She was so kind to me when I was a newcomer to the USA in 1975. I treasure one of her beautiful paintings. It is of the Texas Hill Country, which I love. I feel honored to have known her children and her grandchildren. She was a shining star. Judith Egerton.

Beverly it's wonderful that your boys and grandchildren were blessed with so many extra years with her♡
Sincere condolences to the family. I am so very sorry for your loss. May God provide the necessary peace and comfort to your family and friends during this difficult time. Please remember these words of encouragement from the Bible: “Jesus plainly told her: I am the resurrection and the life. He that exercises faith in me, even though he dies, will come to life.” —John 11:20-25.
I had the pleasure of chatting with Ms Allen on several occasions and purchasing a "kitten" picture from her as I was visiting her studio and listening to her amazing life story….delighting in her beautiful accent. What a talented and gracious lady. Prayers lifted for her loved ones on her passing.
May all God's strength be with you,
I will miss my very special "one of a kind" dear friend, Ruby. She was a fabulous artist who painted in her studio every day. I visited with her almost every week and helped her enter the art shows in both Houston and Galveston galleries . She loved painting, and her family with all her heart and soul. Ruby was a beautiful woman, and an inspiration to me. I know she still has many more paintings to do , and heaven will be a beautiful place for her to paint them.
Sincere condolences to Ruby's children and grandchildren and their families. Rubye had such an outgoing personality and so much energy in spite of her years. Her artistic talent was outstanding. I have and treasure two of her watercolors. She will be missed by all who knew her.
God bless you, Rubye. May your reward be better than we can imagine.
Byron, Sherwood, and Beverly, and families,
Something just told me to search the Internet for Ruby.
Ross and I send you our deepest sympathy for the loss of your dear Ruby. It saddens me so that we have so few of the Greatest Generation left.
My memories of all of the Allen family are such happy ones. I am so grateful that I have them.
I know Ruby was so very proud of all of you and your growing families, as I’m sure you were of her.
I send you my love.
Our thoughts and prayers are with Ruby's family. It was always a joy to spend time with her. She had a beautiful spirit and fascinating stories. And so much talent! Four of her paintings adorn the walls of our home, and it is a comfort to know that her art has immortalized her.
Ruby was a consummate artist, mentor and friend over many years. She always encouraged her fellow painters and for us painters, to observe her paintings is an education in itself. She will remain an inspiration. Her beautiful artwork lives on!
Mom was an avid and talented artist . She never stopped painting right up until the end. Her paintings won many shows and were hosted in several foreign countries. We will miss her !!! Her body is in the Friends Church Cemetery next to Dad's and her headstone states that she was an artist extraordinary. What an understatement!!!
