Richard (Rick) Lawrence Wiedner was born on Christmas Day, December 25,1966 to Richard and Judy Hempen Wiedner in St. Louis, Missouri. He passed away unexpectedly on Easter Sunday, April 17, 2022.
Rick was the oldest of five children. He graduated from J. Frank Dobie High School in 1985. He was in the JROTC program and after graduating, enlisted in the U.S. Army. He graduated from Fort Bliss in El Paso, Texas.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Judy Wiedner.
Rick is survived by his father, Richard Wiedner; brother, Mike Wiedner-Morton; sisters, Anne (Wiedner) Tortorice, Margie (Wiedner) Hundley and Mary (Wiedner) Black; nieces, Amanda Hundley, Alexandria Garcia and Ashley Garcia and his nephews, James Hundley Jr., Anthony Tortorice and Nicholas Black.
Rick loved to read, was interested in Native American culture, loved motorcycles, was Patriotic and Proud of his Country. Rick was a constant companion to his dad. They took care of each other, and he will be deeply missed.
A memorial mass will be held on Tuesday, April 26, 2022 at 11:00 A.M. at Mary Queen Catholic Church, 606 Cedarwood Dr., Friendswood, Texas 77546 (281) 992-7200.
