December 19, 1958 – May 24, 2022
Pamela Ann McAllister Fridye passed away on May 24, 2022, at AdventHealth in Celebration, Florida from a cardiac arrest. She was visiting her oldest daughter, Kimberly Fridye Jones, and son-in-law, Carson Jones, while also vacationing in Walt Disney World. Since being diagnosed in 2018 with Multiple System Atrophy (MSA), a disease comparable to Parkinson’s, Pamela rapidly declined in health. After fighting every day to live as best she could, Pamela finally succumbed to her illness.
She is survived by her husband, John Fridye; her daughters, Kimberly Fridye Jones and McKenna Fridye; and her brother, Todd McAllister.
Born on December 19, 1958, in San Antonio, Texas, Pamela Ann McAllister Fridye was the daughter of the late Fred and Patricia Gibson McAllister. Pamela grew up in Nassau Bay, Texas where she attended Clear Creek High School. She then went on to receive her Bachelor's in English from the University of Houston.
In her free time, Pamela enjoyed reading, dancing, spending time with her daughters, and chatting with her friends on the front porch. She also enjoyed traveling the world to places such as Canada, Japan, Europe, and Mexico. She was a huge fan of Disney World and would take every chance she got to vacation there with her husband and daughters.
As Kimberly and McKenna were growing up, Pamela became heavily involved in their education by volunteering at their schools, always offering to be Class Mom, substitute teaching, and later becoming Friendswood High School PTO President. The Friendswood Independent School District appreciated and cherished Pamela’s devoted dedication to the district. She cared about the community and everyone in it. Pamela Ann Fridye was an incredibly loving mother and wife, and anyone who came into her home was immediately welcomed and treated like family. She is dearly missed by everyone in her life and will always be remembered for her kindness and sense of humor.
Pamela’s life will be celebrated with a visitation beginning at 1:00 P.M. Wednesday June 1, 2022 and a Mass of Christian Burial at 2:00 P.M. at Mary Queen Catholic Church, 606 Cedarwood Drive, Friendswood, Texas 77546. Rev. James H. Kuczynski, M.S. officiating. A reception will follow the service at Mary Queen Catholic Church.
According to her wishes she will be cremated and kept close to her loved ones. In Lieu of flowers donations may be made to Multiple System Atrophy (MSA) Coalition.

To the Fridye Family,
Your mom touched so many people myself included. She was funny and kind. I always loved her measurement of being 5’13”.
We also had a private joke about biking to Cheesecake Factory and singing fat bottom girls on the way home.
Sadly, I lost track with of your mom the last few years that is a regret of mine❤️
I am away and will be unable to attend visitation and service. My condolences to you all. May the wonderful memories of your wife/mother’s laughter and love fill your hearts and souls. She will be missed🙏💙🙏
We are so sorry to hear this news! Pamela was a very good friend. I have volunteered with her on many school events!
Rest In Peace, Pamela!

Your mom was the best. Met her on the PTA at FHS. She is now an Angel in Heaven, watching over her love ones!
My wonderful Library volunteer, substitute teacher, Book Fair volunteer, and prankster. She touched so many lives and was always placing pranks in my office and the Windsong Library. The Library exploded with holiday decorations when she was in charge. Her motto the more the better. Forever in my heart and memory.
I am so saddened to hear of Pam’s passing. She was a wonderful, funny and caring woman. I volunteered with her at the Windsong library and was on the High School PTO. She always was so kind to everyone. My deepest condolences and prayers to all of her family and friends. I won’t be able to attend the service but you all will be in my thoughts and prayers. 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻
Pam was a very much appreciated member of the Treasury Department at Cooper Industries in Houston. Cooper was a worldwide manufacturing company with many international operations. Pam was a key member of the International Team working with foreign exchange and letters of credit. Pam always asked good questions and that made her a valued member of the Treasury Department.

What a beautiful woman and she was loved by so many. Our prayers are with your family.
I am so sorry for your loss. Pam was a classmate of mine in elementary school and junior high, till I moved away. We grew up in the same neighborhood. I’m glad she was with family celebrating life till the end. My prayers for God’s peace and comfort are with you all.
Pamela was pretty much the only substitute teacher I ever used. I would schedule her months in advance, anytime I knew I was going to be out. She loved my students and they loved her. She knew my system and I knew my students were in good hands. Later, I had the opportunity to work closely with her as the faculty advisor to the PTO at Friendswood High School. She was amazing. She was so dedicated to the students, faculty, and school. Her actions spoke volumes of her educational support for her daughters. She was my PTO mentor and taught me so much about what goes on behind the scenes of FHS. PTO parents are amazing!!!!
She was my vacation planner for Disney World. She knew it all. She told me that your family would often go to Disney World on New Year's Eve and it was a goal to be at the top of Tower of Terror at midnight. I thought of that as I gathered all my courage to when I went on that ride for the first time. Once was enough for me.
Pamela will be missed. My heart goes out to you and your family.
John, Kimberly and McKenna:
Such devastating news.
I hope you each are comforted by each other, family and your many friends at this very sad and surreal time.
I love reading these notes to hear that Pam was still enjoying life to the fullest. We always had so much fun together.
I will keep you in my thoughts and prayers. And never forget how very much Pam loved each of you and worked tirelessly to nourish and strengthen your family.
Love,
Aunt Deebs
John, Kimberly and McKenna,
I first met your Mother when I transferred into the Cooper Industries Treasury department. Pamela was always a fun and interesting person that I got to become friends with. She even trusted me to become her personal hair colorist! We went out and had fun times, then she asked me to go with her to a “Tall Club Social” in Clear Lake so she could meet some tall guys to date. Pamela was definitely qualified to become a member at 5’ 13,” however, I was told that at 5’8” I could only be her little sister and come to the Tall Club events but did not qualify to be a member. This was the beginning of where we both met our future husbands, although I didn’t know it at the time. I think Pamela knew before I did when she met John. Next thing I knew she was dating John seriously and eventually they got married and the rest is history. May the many wonderful memories and love fill your hearts to get you through this difficult time. Rest in peace, Pamela!
Pam was a co-worker at Cooper Industries. We were both in the International Treasury Dept. along with Susie Etheredge and David Vance. I know Susie & I loved working with Pam. Her intelligence, conscientiousness and personality lightened our workload and lifted our spirits. It seems she applied those same qualities to friendships, marriage, motherhood and anything she touched. John, Kimberly & McKenna may God grant you His peace and comfort and hearts filled with warm memories.
John and I worked together and it was a pleasure to meet Pam and sit with them at one of our company Christmas parties. Your family has definitely been through a lot together and we express our sincere condolences for your loss. John told me Disneyland was her favorite place. She was in a place she loved surrounded by people she loved. God bless you all during this challenging time.
