Norman Phillip Faist Jr. peacefully passed away Sunday June 22, 2025 at his son’s home in College Station, Texas. He was born August 13, 1936 in Houston, Texas to Norman Phillip Faist Sr. and Claudia Faist and moved to Alvin, Texas in 1965. He was a member of the First United Methodist church of Alvin.
He was preceded in death by his wife Addie Ruth Faist and his daughter Jill Hope White.
He is survived by his sons Gary Thomas Faist and Reid Evan Faist, grandchildren David Scott White Jr., Travis Scott White and wife Cassandra, Daniel Scott White and wife Grace, Anna Hope White and Julie Hope White, numerous great grandchildren and friends.
He was raised in Houston, Texas where he attended Milby High School. After graduation he moved to Austin, Texas and received his bachelor’s degree in Petroleum Engineering from The University of Texas. While living in Austin he met the love of his life Addie Ruth Thomas. After graduating college he worked for various oil companies in several states before they settled in Alvin. They had three children, Jill, Gary and Reid. He loved God and his family. His greatest pleasure was spending time and caring for his family. He had a special place in his heart for his friends in College Station, Texas, Jason and AnnaLynn. He enjoyed their visits which brought him much happiness.
A private service was held Friday June 27, at 10:00 A.M. at Confederate cemetery in Alvin, Texas. Arrangements under the direction of Jeter Memorial Funeral Home, 311 N. Friendswood Dr. Friendswood, Texas 77546.
