  1. There was not a better person, friend or neighbor than Bert. He’s was a wonderful person and a natural born leader. We loved as neighbors for many years abs Bert and Marianne were a delight . I had the very fortunate opportunity to ride by and say hello to Bert in Mary Ann several months ago, he was as happy as he could be and seemed very content with life. He mentioned his precious grandchildren and how much he loved them, and always talked about his children and was such a proud father.
Bert will be missed , but for certain he’s in heaven
And will be continuing to watch over all of us .

  2. Feeling sad to have lost a great neighbor and a guardian Angel. We have been neighbors for over thirty years and it was comforting knowing Bert ( and Marianne) were there from day to day looking out for each other thru weather disasters Unimagined 30 years ago. Our little friendly block on Blue Heron will not be the same. Rest In Peace, neighbor. Peace, comfort and love to Marianne, Jeni and the grandchildren!

    1. Bert was my brother-in-law, but he was so much more. He was a brother to me. Many times over the years I would ask his advice and he was always there with words of wisdom, Bert was a great comfort when I needed him in good times and sad times. I admired him in many ways. He and my sister Marianne had a very loving marriage. That love extended to Jeni and her four sons. Bert was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather, and brother. I will miss him very much. My love and prayers go out to my sister Marianne, my niece Jeni, Joe, my great nephews , and Bert’s brother Joern and his sons . May God be with you .

Bert was our neighbor and friend at Lake Limestone. He was clearly a man with a big heart, and it showed in his love for Marianne and his family. We truly enjoyed our time with him and will always remain grateful for the memories we have of this wonderful man. He will be missed by all of us here at Lake Limestone.

  8. Oh Uncle Norbert I just heard the news. I have the most beautiful memories of my childhood because of you. Although as I grew older we grew apart you were always my uncle no matter what and the love still remained when we were reconnected by Facebook. And we reconnected I apologize to you for life separating me from you as well as a lot of others. If you understood with love. My heart hurts, but I will try to remember to smile through this because I know you were happy. I know you were a man of God. And I know you were a man Full of love. And even though I hadn’t seen you in years, our conversations were wonderful and positive and again full of love. I will miss you dearly. Until I get to see you again. I love you. Maryanne & Jeni, thank you for fulfilling his life 💚 he loved you very much and I’m so sorry for your loss.
