June 5, 1941 – May 9, 2025
Nancy Ann McLaughlin Hartig passed away on May 9, 2025. She was born June 5, 1941 to Joe Lee McLaughlin and Nettie Mae (Shuffield) McLaughlin in Burnet, Texas.
Our mother was an avid reader and enjoyed embroidery. She had a green thumb and loved to garden as this was evident in the beautiful flower beds and plants that she grew. She had a love for pets and had many in her lifetime. She took in several second chance pets, comforted them and provided them a very loving and caring environment. Our mother had a kind and gentle soul that will be missed.
She is survived by her daughters, Rachelle Ainsworth and husband Terry, Kimberly Nowak and husband Kenny. Grandchildren Brooke Pendleton and husband Jake, Blake Nowak, Stephanie Totzer, and Jay Ainsworth. Great-grandchildren Aurora and Noelle Pendleton, Cameron Strange, Jack Markham, Chesney Totzer, Leah Strange, Blake, Bryce, and Charlotte Ainsworth.
She was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Michael McLaughlin and great-granddaughter, Hannah de los Reyes.
We wish to extend special thanks to her friends and neighbors for always being there to help when needed.
The family requests that in lieu of flowers a donation to a favorite pet adoption or charity be made in Nancy Hartig's name.
Friends are cordially invited to the visitation with the family on Friday, May 16, 2025 from 10:00 A.M. to 11:00 A.M with the funeral service to begin at 11:00 A.M at Jeter Memorial Funeral Home, 311 N. Friendswood Dr., Friendswood, Texas 77546 with Rev. Sam McRae officiating. Interment will follow at San Jacinto Memorial Park Cemetery in Houston, Texas.
