March 13, 1961 – July 22, 2021
Michelle Heather Kettmann was born on March 13, 1961 in France. Her parents Ronald Frank Kettman and Marcella Schneider Kettmann were vacationing there and I suppose Michelle decided being a French citizen was a great idea.
Michelle was always a creative soul. She loved writing, drawing, sewing, cooking, and just about any craft you put in her hands. Michelle graduated from Clear Lake High School and went on to receive her Bachelor’s Degree in Home Economics from Texas Tech University. Her talents were limitless and she worked in many fields from Hancock Fabrics, office manager for her Father’s Chiropractic office, managing her parents’ many rental properties, working in her then husband’s architecture firm, and more!
Michelle had a servant’s heart and volunteered with many organizations including Big Brothers/Big Sisters of Texas, the YMCA, neighborhood garden club, teaching at churches, Girl Scout leader, and we could go on for much longer. Michelle completed her Graduate work at Montessori Institute Northwest.
Michelle was a giver, a true friend, a loving wife and mother. Michelle was the EVER present mother. Always there for her child and the pack of friends who came with the territory! Michelle was kind and loving with a heart of absolute gold. She was one who loved to share with those around her.
Michelle’s faith was unstoppable! A devout Catholic through and through. She studied the word of God and she lived it! I know she’s smiling down upon us as she sends messages through the angels, as they drop white feathers around those closest to her.
We all have so many great memories of our beloved friend! Her independent spirit, her love of God, nature, and people! She was talented and generous to a fault. Michelle would tell you her greatest accomplishment is her daughter, Kathleen, who was her pride and joy.
Michelle left this earth far too soon after contracting Covid while visiting her beloved Pagosa Springs, Colorado. Her stay was extended far longer than intended and unfortunately, she never made it home to us. Michelle passed on July 22, 2021 with Kathleen holding her hand. She is sorely missed by all who loved her.
Michelle was preceded in death by her parents Ronald and Marcella Kettmann of Houston.
She is survived by her daughter, Kathleen Bryan of New York City, brother Brian Kettmann of Houston, and nephew Nicholas Kettmann of Houston.
Friends are cordially invited to attend a visitation with the family on Friday, August 13, 2021 at 10:00 A.M., with the funeral service to begin at 11:00 A.M., at Jeter Memorial Funeral Home, 311 N. Friendswood Dr, Friendswood, TX 77546, (281) 992-7200, with Rev. John Kappe officiating. Interment will follow at Mt Olivet Cemetery in Dickinson.

It is with our deepest sympathy that we express our condolences to all who are missing Michelle. Our hearts especially go out to Kathleen. We will always remember Michelle for her kindness, generosity and strong faith. She is now with Our Lord and Savior in whom she loves so much. It is our prayer that all who are heartbroken have comfort and peace. Eternal rest grant unto her, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon her. May she Rest In Peace. Amen.
Kathleen, I remember meeting your Mom at daily Mass at St. Paul's. Many is the time I have seen her devotion and love of Jesus present in the Blessed Sacrament and her strong commitment to Perpetual Adoration. I loved running into her randomly as I went to Adoration or Mass and she always had a smile and a kind word for me. She will be greatly missed.
Kathleen, you know how deeply your Mom loved you and she always talked about you when I saw her. Never doubt that she is praying for you! For your Mom, you are and have always been a true gift from God.
I am sorry that I cannot attend her memorial service. I am committed to babysitting 2 grandkids. But I will keep you in my prayers.
Thank you Michelle for the brand new Father Lasance Roman Missal that you gave me before Holy Week this year. I will always remember to say a prayer for you whenever I use that missal. You were such a giver. I found out now that it is so hard to get a copy of that missal. I will always cherish those mornings when you came to the TLM with me, took me for breakfast at Waffle House after mass.
Kathleen, you have a saint who is now praying for you that you will always stay in the path that Jesus wants you to follow.
I am grateful to God for knowing a friend who is now in the arms of our Heavenly Father.

I will never forget how cruel you were to me after my divorce. You were vicious to myself and my daughters. Telling them, they come from a “broken home.”
I am not alone, you were do horrible to so many in the neighborhood.
That poor husband had to get away from you and finally divorced you. How was your “ broken home”?
