August 20, 1970 – August 21, 2021
Michael Douglas Lee of League City, Texas passed away on August 21, 2021. Mike was raised in North Houston and completed education at Sam Houston State University, with a Bachelor's degree in finance. He enjoyed 10-plus years as a certified financial manager, before starting his commercial landscape business in the League City area. He was involved with local subdivision HOA's and served as board president of his own community HOA. He was a city councilman of League City and was asked to go to Washington D.C. to speak before the House of Representatives to support Nasa, for which he did.
Mike enjoyed his children and helped Makenna learn to play tennis, which they both enjoyed. He recently helped teach Makenna how to drive and get her first car. He had renewed his love of riding dirt bikes, and shared this with his son, Landon. He was a loving and devoted husband to his wife, Alita. He often said he never wanted things for himself but wanted the world for his family.
Mike was preceded in death by his mother, Maria Norma Lee.
He is survived by his wife Alita, daughter Makenna, son Landon, and father Doug, as well as many relatives and cherished friends.
A memorial service will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Monday, August 30, 2021 at Jeter Memorial Funeral Home, 311 N. Friendswood Dr., Friendswood, TX 77546, (281) 992-7200, with Deacon Chuck Turner officiating. You may wear a mask, if you so choose to. There is no planned reception to follow.

I was so saddened to hear of Mike's passing. He was one of the the first people I met when I moved to the area and began working for League City. He was always nice, thoughtful, and helpful regardless of my dealings with him through the HOA, Planning and Zoning, or just bumping into him out and about. My prayers are with his family during this difficult time.

Though aware of Mike being ill, I always assumed he’d pull through.
Mike has always been there and I had no reason to believe otherwise.
He was one of the most decent and kind people I’ve ever known and his presence will be greatly missed.
I didn’t have the privilege of knowing Mike but I am one of many long-time friends of Dianne Lee Brunner who have been and will continue to lift each of you in our prayers. May you feel God’s sure presence with you during this difficult time.

I was so saddened to hear of Mike's passing. Although I had not seen him for several years I had many memories of him and the Meineke boys growing up together. Bless all of you in your time of grief and cherish the wonderful times you had with him.
Mike was a wonderful friend. He and I attended Sam Houston High School together from 1985-1988. I will always remember Mike for his hilarious personality and and his willingness to accept anyone into his life and treat them with kindness and respect. My sincere condolences to his wife, children, father, and friends. Fly high and rest easy my buddy!
Mike was/is the epitome of a great friend. Never did I not have someone to call if Mike was around. Sharing a conversation, meal, or drink with Mike was always perfect. It always included a family update, a lot of laughter, and a solution to whatever was ailing you. With tremendous love for Mike, his wife, and two children, I am more than heart broken. Losing a friend like Mike is beyond sad or reason. Mike, your cherished friendship is in my heart, your voice in my head, and your humor will forever remind me of our great talks. God obviously needed you and we'll see you again my friend. We'll care for your family. You were an amazing one-of-a-kind friend!
My thoughts and prayers to Mike’s family. He was a leader in the community and I was honored to have known him.
Uncle Mike was such a great man. He always joked around and had something funny to say. I will be sure to always check on and take care of my cousins, his wonderful children makenna and landon. Uncle mike was such a sweet soul, gone too soon. Every time I saw him he always had something nice to say to me. We all dearly love and miss him and may he rest in eternal peace.
I am deeply saddened by Mikes passing. He was a good friend, an all around great guy, and a good man who loved his family. I’ll miss the random text messages, political chat over a cold one, and meet ups at the dirt track with our sons. I am lucky to have known Mike! He will be missed. Prayers for Alita and the kids.

We didn’t have the privilege of knowing Mike very long, unfortunately.
After moving to our neighborhood, he immediately became the guy who offered to help in any way, always had a smile and a cheerful greeting.
We miss his presence on our street.
May God be with his family and bring them comfort and peace.
May his legacy of kindness and love of family be always remembered.
We were so sad to hear about Mike's passing. He was always so kind and friendly when we saw him. Our prayers to Alita and the kids.
