In Loving Memory

Mark James Dahlstrom

December 23, 1957 – November 10, 2021

Mark James Dahlstrom, age 63, was born December 23, 1957 to Violet Nieman Dahlstrom and Edward L. Dahlstrom Sr. in San Antonio Texas. Mark passed away on November 10, 2021, at the Round Rock Medical Center St David's after a brief illness. Mark fought a hard battle to stay here for his family and friends but Jesus called on him to come home.

Mark was preceded in death by his mother Violet Conkling, stepfather Allan Conkling, father Edward Dahlstrom Sr. and stepmother Betty Dahlstrom, Grandmother and Grandfather Nieman, Grandmother and Grandfather Dahlstrom, many Aunts, Uncles and cousins.

Mark leaves behind to cherish his memory, brother Edward (Eddie) Dahlstrom and wife Kay, sister Judy Harper and husband Hal, brother Scott, Nephews Edward (Trey) Dahlstrom lll, Jason Dahlstrom, nieces Stephanie Wisnoski and husband Eddie, Kymberlee Thompson and husband Eddie, Carrie Champion and husband John.  He is also survived by many great nieces and great nephews and 1 great-great niece, and cousins.  Mark also leaves behind his many many friends in San Antonio, Austin, Round Rock and Cedar Park Texas. His friends were a family to Mark, they loved him very much and took care of him like brothers and sisters, and for that we are grateful.

Mark grew up in San Antonio, Texas. He attended the following schools, Ridgeview Elementary, Nimitz Jr. High and Robert E. Lee High School where he graduated. After graduation Mark became a Master Carpenter in finishing. He worked in this field his entire career working on homes from lower end to multi-million-dollar homes.  His work was impeccable.  We have many projects he did for us and we will have those forever.

In Marks younger years he played Little League baseball, as a young teenager he loved to hunt with his father, then he became interested in Motocross racing. He traveled around the state to several different cities to race for a few years. When he quit racing, he moved to the Austin area. There fishing became a passion for him and he also enjoyed hunting. Mark was a free spirit, he was mild mannered, and never raised his voice.  He loved the outdoors, he loved cooking outside, and he would rather be outside enjoying Mother Nature with his friends than to be inside.

Mark was a very lucky man.  He had his brothers and sister and their families that loved him very much and his big family of friends who also loved him very much and took good care of him. Mark touched the lives of many, many people and he will be dearly missed by all of us!

There will be a graveside Service on Tuesday November 16, 2021 at 11:00 A.M. at the Manvel Cemetery on Cemetery Road in Manvel Texas, with Rev. Jerry Stark officiating.

Condolences may be sent to the Dahlstrom family in care of Jeter Memorial Funeral Home at www.jeterfuneralhome.com.
