Dear Bob, Kathy and Family, I am so sorry to hear of your Mother’s passing. Although I have not seen her in years, I remember her as being very loving and kind. I also remember how much she loved fishing. May she rest in peace. We will keep you all in our thoughts and prayers.❤️
Lou was a fine person with a great family. She did so much for Mary Queen Church, and was one of the first persons to welcome us when we moved here from Delaware 26 years ago. We knew her daughter, Dorothy, well, too- another fine person. The Porters were simply great people who cared about others in our community. MarySandra and I plan to say the Rosary today for Lou, and all who love her. May Our Laddy, Notre Dame, bring Lou safely home to the Kingdom of eternal peace and joy, in Christ! All our love and prayers, Steve and MarySandra Foster, Friendswood, Texas
As close neighbors, we watched nightly for Mrs. Porter to turn on her back porch light. That was how we knew she had turned in for the night. Then in the morning, Roger would watch for the light to be turned off. Thats how we knew she was up and about. Such a simple thing but something we will miss. We already do. Mrs. Porter you were blessed with a long life, God had a need for you to be here. If we can all be this blessed. RIP neighbor, Im sure your porch light is on in heaven.
Lou Porter was such a special lady and neighbor! She was a good friend to me and taught me about making stained glass windows, and she shared her recipe with me for her delicious relish. We made it together one year and my family loved it!!! Lou, you were a special lady and an inspiration to many. I am thankful to have known you, to have been your neighbor, and to have you as a special friend!
Remembering what a wonderful person Lu was and how I enjoyed being with her in the Mary Queen Seniors.
