LouAnn Woods Nassiff

June 4, 1936 – January 5, 2025

Lou Ann Nassiff, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother, passed away peacefully on Sunday, January 5th, 2025 at the age of 88. Born on June 4, 1936, in Jacksonville, Florida, Lou Ann brought love and light into the lives of everyone she met.

She married the love of her life, Samuel Nassiff, on June 5, 1956. Their enduring partnership of 57 years was a testament to their devotion to each other and their family. Together, they moved to Friendswood, Texas, in 1963 when Sam accepted a position as an aerospace engineer at NASA’s Johnson Space Center in Houston.

Lou Ann’s vibrant spirit found expression in her community involvement. She was an active member of the Friendswood Garden Club, where she shared her passion for gardening and often delighted children alongside Sam as Mr. and Mrs. Santa Claus during holiday festivities. Her generosity extended to volunteering at Southeast Memorial Hospital, where she dedicated her time to supporting others.

Lou Ann was preceded in death by her husband, Samuel Nassiff; her sister, Jacqueline; and her son, Gary Nassiff. She is survived by her loving children, Ronald Nassiff and Cynthia Ann Unger, who cherish the memories of her boundless love and wisdom. She also leaves behind seven adoring grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren who will forever hold her in their hearts.

Lou Ann’s legacy of kindness, joy, and community service will continue to inspire all who knew her. Her memory will be celebrated in a life well-lived and the countless lives she touched.

A funeral service will be held at Jeter Memorial Funeral Home, 311 N. Friendswood Dr. Friendswood, Texas 77546 on January 17th, 2025 at 10am, where family and friends will gather to honor her life.  A graveside service will follow at 3:00 P.M. at South Park Cemetery in Pearland, Texas.

Rest in peace, Lou Ann. You will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
