October 14, 1987 – May 28, 2022

Loryn Brooke Childers 34 passed away May 28, 2022, in Houston, Texas. She was born October 14, 1987, in Houston, Texas to parents Ernest and Henrietta Marek Childers. Loryn was truly a miracle baby.  She was one of fifty babies born,” in vitro” in the United States at that time She was our little princess.

Loryn began gymnastics at the age of four and continued tumbling throughout high school as a member of the Friendswood Mustangs Cheerleading Squad as a fly girl and tumbler. Loryn graduated from Friendswood High School in 2005 with honors, then attended Texas State University where she graduated 2009 with honors achieving a degree in Mass Communications and a minor in Business. Loryn loved calligraphy and singing. She truly loved going to Lakewood Church where she was a member of the choir for a time.

She was preceded in death by her sister, Janette Leigh Childers; father, Ernie Childers; paternal grandparents, Ted C. Childers, Sr. and Hazel Childers; maternal grandparents, Robert and Agnes Marek; grandparents, Elsie and James Walker.

Loryn is survived by her young sons, Laken McCullough and Gabriel Wilson that she dearly loved to the moon and back. Her mother Henrietta Marek; aunts and uncles, Evelyn and Gary Todd, Roseann and John Danford, Ted C. Childers, Jr. and wife Phoebe, Linda Childers Hinkle. Her loving cousins, Marlena Cox, Audra Simpson, Bryan Arrant, Tamara Tyler, Jacelyn Todd, Ted C. Childers, III, Reeana Reddell, Jeana Garris and Jessica Gibson Maloney; and a host of other relatives and very close friends.

Celebration of Life services will be Saturday June 11, 2022, at 11:00 A.M. at the Jeter Memorial Funeral Home located at 311 N. Friendswood Dr. in Friendswood, Texas 77546. Rev. Jerry Stark officiating. A reception will follow services at the La Casita Mexican Restaurant located 18043 FM County Road 127 Pearland Texas, 77581
