Lois "Hoogie" Finger Huepers

March 30, 1927 – July 26, 2022

Lois Finger “Hoogie” Huepers, 95, of Friendswood, Texas passed away Tuesday, July 26, 2022.She was the daughter of Henry Cecil Finger and Nellie Evans Finger. She was born on March 29, 1927 in Alvin, Texas. Lois was employed for more than twenty years by the Alvin Memorial Hospital and Dr. G. J. Hayes.

Lois enjoyed gardening and building doll houses. She won first prize for her doll houses at the Brazoria County Fair. One of her many doll houses is on display at the Alvin Museum. Lois was preceded in death by husband August Edward Huepers. She is survived by son, A. K. Van Horne and wife Karen Van Horne of Alvin, Texas and a daughter Becky Ruth Martin and husband Richard Martin of Friendswood, Texas. She is also survived by a sister, Martha Finger Still and husband Gerald R. Still of Bryan, Texas.

Lois has been cremated and a graveside service was held on Tuesday, August 2, 2022, at the Alvin Confederate Cemetery with Reverend Wesley Duncan of the First Methodist Church of Alvin officiating. Arrangements were made by Jeter Memorial Funeral Home.
