December 16, 1931 – February 7, 2022
Lakeeta Joy Hinchey Claiborne, formerly of Pauls Valley, Oklahoma went home to be with her Lord and Savior on February 7, 2022 in League City Texas at the age of 90 years.
She was born to Hiram H. and Ella F. (Wallace) Hinchey in Pauls Valley, Oklahoma on December 16, 1931 and spent her childhood school years in Pauls Valley, Oklahoma and Odessa, Missouri, she graduated from Pauls Valley High School.
Lakeeta retired from AT&T after 33 years of service working in Odessa and Dallas Texas.
She was preceded in death by her parents Hiram H. and Ella F. (Wallace) Hinchey, her husband R.B. Claiborne, a son Robert Bart Claiborne, a sister Wanda Hardin and a brother Green C.(Sonny) Hinchey.
Lakeeta is survived by her son Kenneth P. Engle, Jr. and wife Rhonda of Friendswood Texas and daughter Claudia Chroust and husband Bob of Henderson, Nevada; a sister Betty West of Midwest City, Oklahoma; 5 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.
A graveside service will be held on Friday, February 11, 2022 at 11:00 A.M. at Walters Cemetery in Walters Oklahoma with Rev. Brantley Tillery officiating.
