March 8, 1949 – June 21, 2025
Kathy W. Brady, a source of love, compassion, and unwavering strength, left us on June 21, 2025. Born on March 8, 1949, she touched our lives in immeasurable ways.
Born in Pasadena, Texas, Kathy was the daughter of Frances and Calma Belanger. She grew up in Houston, Texas and graduated from Milby High School in 1967. She continued her education at the University of Houston where she earned a degree in Education in 1997. She went on to teach at Brookwood Elementary School in Clear Lake/Houston. They were some of the best years of her life.
Kathy loved animals, especially dogs. Snuffy, Suki, Molly, Blackie, Blondie, Elle, Junie, Precious, and the current love of her life, Perdy, were lucky enough to have her as a mom over the years. She was also a lover of all things Texas A&M. The moment her son decided to attend the school, a love affair started that lasted the rest of her life.
Kathy was a loving wife, mother, and aunt. She was preceded in death by her parents, Frances and Calma Belanger, her brother, Wayne Belanger, and her sister Arlene Belanger. She is survived by her husband, Jon K. Peterson, her son, Stephen W. Brady (Dee Dee), her nephew Mark Heft (Heather), her great nephews Syrus Heft and Preston Heft, her great niece, Maya Heft and her great-great nephew, Kross Griffith, brothers-in-law, Ron Peterson (Linda) and Bill Peterson (Joanna) and twelve nieces and nephews.
Friends are cordially invited to the visitation with the family on Wednesday, July 9, 2025 at 10:00 A.M. with a memorial service to begin at 11:00 A.M. at Jeter Memorial Funeral Home, 311 N. Friendswood Dr., Friendswood, TX 77546.
