January 18, 1943 – May 20, 2025

Joyce Y. Turnage, age 82, of Pearland, TX passed away peacefully on May 20, 2025. Born on January 18, 1943, in Purvis, Mississippi, Joyce was the cherished daughter of the late Robert L. Yawn and Marilla J. Yawn.

Joyce’s life was deeply rooted in her faith and her family. A devoted student of the Bible, she found joy and strength in studying God's word daily. Her unwavering belief was the foundation of how she lived—always with grace, kindness, and love.

She was a beloved mother to two daughters, Renee Megee and Jane Bond, and a proud grandmother to Kevin Megee, Robert Green, and Pamela Gower. Joyce also shared a special bond with her brother, Billy Yawn, and remembered with love her sister, the late Jean McIntyre. Her family extended to many nieces and four stepchildren, each of whom brought joy to her life.

Joyce will be remembered not only for her deep faith but also for the love and warmth she gave so freely to those around her. She created a home full of compassion, wisdom, and the comforting presence of someone who truly lived in the light of God’s love.

A memorial service will be held on Thursday, May 29, 2025 at 11:00 A.M. at Friendswood Methodist Church Wesley Hall, 110 N. Friendswood Dr., Friendswood, Texas 77546.
