September 19, 1988 – May 5, 2023

John Eric Maxwell, 34, was born in Pasadena, Texas on September 19, 1988.  He died in his sleep on May 5, 2023, in his home in Friendswood, Texas.  He attended private school in Pearland, Texas.  During his lifetime he worked in construction, remodeling and in the chemical plants.  He loved fishing, camping, hunting, and boating with his family and friends.  John loved teaching his kids outdoor skills.

John is survived by his mother Deanna Maxwell, his brother Conrad and his aunt Kathy Weyrich, who helped raise him.  He is also survived by his long-time friend and partner, Christy Galan.  John also leaves behind his children Shawn Maxwell, Samuel Mayfield, Jemmy Maxwell, Abbigale Maxwell, Paige Galan, MyKaylah Galan and Luke Galan.  John was preceded in death by his father, Joseph Maxwell, and his grandparents, Johnnie Laverne Davis Weyrich and Robert Herbert Weyrich, Sr. 

        Remembrance and celebration of life will be held at Resoft County Park, 20020 TX 35 in Alvin, TX 77511 on Sunday, May 21, 2023 at 10:00 A.M. at the Nolan Ryan Pavilion.  Please bring food items or drinks to share with all.  Picnic supplies will be provided.  If desired, bring your fishing poles.
