In Loving Memory

Jessica Helen Krause

August 24, 1977 – May 29, 2023

Jessica Helen Krause, a beloved daughter, mother, wife, and friend, passed away on May 29, 2023, leaving behind a profound void in the lives of those who knew and loved her. Born on August 24, 1977, in New Jersey, Jessica was the cherished daughter of Michael and Cecelia Krause.

Throughout her life, Jessica's journey took her to various states, including Virginia, Ohio, Illinois, Missouri, Kansas, California, Wyoming, and Texas. Of all the places she resided, Wyoming held a special place in her heart, as its peaceful landscapes touched her soul.

From a young age, Jessica exhibited a compassionate spirit in her career choices, always reflective of her desire to help others. She began her professional journey as a massage therapist, using her healing touch to bring comfort to those in need. However, her ambition led her to pursue further education, and she became a registered nurse. After becoming a registered nurse, she continued her education to obtain her Bachelor of Science in Nursing.

Jessica dedicated her skills and expertise to the field of healthcare, striving to make a positive impact on the lives of her patients. She served at Clear Lake Hospital in the Labor and Delivery and OB/GYN department, where her caring and nurturing nature brought solace to countless expectant mothers and their families. Later in her career, she joined Ideal Image, continuing to provide compassionate care to those she served in the field of aesthetic nursing.

Beyond her professional accomplishments, Jessica's personal life was filled with love and cherished connections. For more than 20 years, she was married to Brent Ferstl and in 2005 they welcomed a third member to their family. Together, they nurtured a beautiful daughter, Mireya Ferstl, who was the light of Jessica's life. In 2022, Jessica's marriage to Brent Ferstl came to an end after more than 20 years. Although their paths diverged, the bond they shared during their time together remained an important chapter in both of their lives.

Jessica's vivacious spirit extended beyond her work and family life. She had a deep appreciation for country music, and the melodies served as a backdrop to the memories she created. She found joy in hosting vibrant parties, where laughter and friendship filled the air. With a glass of champagne in hand, Jessica's warmth and hospitality shone brightly, making each gathering a cherished occasion.

In addition to her immediate family, Jessica leaves behind her aunts; Janet Baechle, Maria Helena Ortiz, Mireya Ortiz Ordonez, Carlota Ortiz, and Elena Ortiz, who all held a special place in her heart. She also leaves behind her beloved uncles, Jorge Enrique Gutiérrez, and Georges Guichard-Deschamps. Cousins include Mike Neuman, Barbara Bowman, Andrea Quintero, David Quintero, Guillermo Quintero, Nicolás Gutiérrez, and Andres Gutiérrez, with whom she shared countless fond memories.

Jessica Krause will be remembered for her kind and nurturing spirit, her dedication to helping others, and her zest for life. Her absence leaves an indelible void in the lives of her family and friends, but her legacy of love, compassion, and joy will forever live on in their hearts.

A memorial service will be held on June 24, 2023, at 11:00 A.M. to celebrate the remarkable life of Jessica Krause and pay tribute to the profound impact she made on the lives of those around her.  The service will be held at Jeter Memorial Funeral Home 311 N.
