July 6, 1949 – May 31, 2023
James Thomas Dattilo Sr., 73, of Friendswood, Texas, passed away on May 31, 2023. He was born on July 6, 1949, in Cleveland, Ohio to Anthony Matthew Dattilo and Joan Marie Decker.
James is preceded in death by his parents and sister, Kathy. He is survived by his wife, Connie of 51+ years; his sister, Toni Wood (Leo); his children, Christian and James Jr.; daughter-in-law, Annette; three grandchildren, Dominic, Tatum, and August; nieces and a nephew.
He retired as an Equipment Operator from the Baytown Fire Department. He was known for making the best cannoli’s at Christmas.
James was a man of faith, he loved Jesus and his family with all of his heart. He loved being a firefighter and cooking at the fire station. He also loved Texas.
He will be missed by so many; his spirit is in our hearts. We know that he is in his happy place – heaven; healed and whole.

Jim worked at fire station #4, with my late father, Bobby “Snuffy” Zeagler.
I know they are up In Heaven, arguing about spices in cooking. They did that a lot at the station .
