Heston Dee Thomas, Jr. of Friendswood, Texas passed away on Monday, November 6, 2023 in Clear Lake City.
He is preceded in death by his father, Heston Dee Thomas and mother Robena Deskin Thomas and sisters Robin Thomas and Terri Angonia.
Heston was born on April 16, 1958 to Heston Dee Thomas, Sr. and Daisy Robena Thomas in Pasadena, Texas. The Thomas family lived in the Easthaven and Sagemont communities in Houston before eventually moving to Donie, TX. After graduating from Dobie High School in 1976, Heston attended Sam Houston State University before eventually graduating from Texas A&M University in December, 1984 with a degree in Finance.
Having grown up working on heavy construction equipment with his father his entire life, Heston used his knowledge and expertise and began a successful career at Waukesha Pearce Industries where he worked as the Remarketing Sales Manager for over 25 years.
Heston met his wife Patsy Poates at an Easthaven Baptist Church reunion in 1988, and they were married on June 23, 1990, in Houston. Their two children, Heston Dee Thomas III (Trace) and Kelsey Danielle, were born in 1992 and 1994. He loved being a father and enjoyed every minute he could spend with his family. His favorite times were taking the family on many vacations to see new sights and experience new adventures.
Heston lived an active life full of many things that he enjoyed doing including spending time at their favorite deer lease and the family ranch, hunting, traveling, fishing, surfing, camping and going to Astros games. Most of all, Heston loved his family and friends and spending time laughing and enjoying life with those he held close. He had a heart of gold and will always be remembered for his compassion, warm smile and wonderful laugh. He will be deeply missed by those who love him.
Heston is survived by his wife of 33 years, Patsy Poates Thomas, his son Heston III (Trace), daughter Kelsey, brother David Thomas and his wife, Donna, sisters Sarah Thomas and Rachel Thomas and brother-in-law Donnie Angonia as well as a host of nieces and nephews.
Friends are cordially invited to the visitation with the family on Tuesday, November 14, 2023, at 1:00 P.M. with a memorial service to begin at 2:00 P.M. at Jeter Memorial Funeral Home, 311 N. Friendswood Dr., Friendswood, Texas 77546 (281) 992-7200 with The Rev. Geoff Gwynne officiating.

Bubba was always running around the neighborhood with all the kids in the circle outside close to Mr. Barnhill's house. This is where we used to tell jokes together as kids. I will remember him fondly. He was always very kind to me.
