Gerry "Chuck" Duke Heath, 66, of Alvin, Texas passed away on September 25, 2023. He was born August 20, 1957 in Fort Polk Louisiana.

He was preceded in death by brother Jim "Chip"; sister-in-law Toni Henry Heath, brother-in-law Kent Goodman, aunt Mary Davison, Atlanta, Georgia and uncle Bruce Heath, Alvin.

Chuck is survived by, mother Dorothy "Dot" Richmond, of Alvin Texas; father Jimmy W. Heath and Cecile Clawson Heath of Buna, Texas; children, Scott and Shannon Miles Heath of Virginia, Matthew and Katy Herndon Heath of Alvin, Texas, Lahna Heath of Alvin, Texas; two grandchildren Cirerra Heath and Euan Heath of California; sister Christie Heath Goodman of Alvin; half-brother Mark Heath of Athens, Georgia; godmother Laura Segura Laureiro of Alvin, Texas; uncle Ermon and aunt Billie Richmond of Prattville, Alabama; uncle Jim and aunt Lois Richmond of Medford, Oregon; aunt Ann Eubanks of Salado, Texas; nieces and nephews, Zach Heath, Taron and Ashley Heath and son, Dexter Heath, Jeremy Goodman, and Corona Heath Goodman; all of Alvin, Texas; and many other relatives and cherished friends.

He attended Alvin schools and graduated from Wayland Baptist College with a bachelor’s degree. He retired from the United States Navy and was stationed in Great Lakes, Panama, Scotland, Deigo Garcia, Japan, Alaska, Norfolk, Virginia, and Pensacola, Florida. After retirement from the Navy, he worked for Schlumberger in Rosharon as a CAD Designer.

He loved music and played the guitar, banjo, piano and drums. He sang in the choir in church and high school, and in the Navy. He sang bass in various quartets and was a member of "The Happy Side" a Christian singing group in his teen years and traveled throughout the south performing in churches.  He loved hunting, fishing, and traveling.

He was a lifetime member of Heights Baptist Church.
