August 10, 1962 – August 28, 2022
Earl Sandifer Booker II, known as Earl to friends and Sandy to family, died peacefully on August 28, 2022, in his home in San Leon, TX. He was born on August 10, 1962, in Mansfield, LA to Earl and Donna Booker.
He graduated from J. Frank Dobie High School in 1980. Earl knew at the early age of thirteen that he wanted to be an under-water diver/welder. He pursued this passion at San Jacinto College (earning a degree in underwater welding) that allowed him to travel to beautiful parts of the world with many adventures on and under the water. His skilled welding work was often described as a piece of art. He was an avid sailor and eventually obtained his captain’s license. He also dedicated many years to the Lighthouse Charity Team (considering them a second family). During his lifetime he was truly adventurous, a loving son, protective brother, husband, father, and loved his dogs.
He is survived in life by his mother, Donna Williams; his father and stepmother, Earl and Amanda Booker; his brother and sister-in-law Glenn and Robin Booker; his brother and sister-in-law, Chris and Amy Booker; his sister, Angie Crawford; nieces and nephews Brittany, Jenna, Grant, Garrett, Mica, Elyse, and Allison.
A Celebration of Life service will be held on September 24th, 2022, at 2:00PM CST, at Lighthouse Charity Team’s Operations Center, 6918 Broadway St., Galveston, TX 77554.
In lieu of flowers, donations to the Lighthouse Charity Team (in Earl’s name) would be greatly appreciated https://lighthousecharityteam.com/donations/. You may also visit https://lighthousecharityteam.com/ for more information.
