Dorothy Mae Harding Thompson

January 29, 1934 – March 29, 2022

Heaven gained another angel, on Tuesday, March 29, 2022 our mother, Dorothy Mae Harding Thompson.  She was born January 29, 1934 to William Dudley Harding and Edna Viola Harding in Houston, Texas.

Dorothy and the love of her life Bradford moved to Friendswood in the summer of 1968 with their 3 daughters.  She was a long-time member of the First Baptist Church of Friendswood.  She retired from Eckerd Drugs in Friendswood.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Bradford Thompson; grandson, Donald Bradford Copeland and 4 brothers and 1 sister.

Dorothy is survived by her 3 daughters, Sheri Jenkins and husband Joe, Cindi Copeland and husband Don and Suzi Coyle and husband Billy; 8 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; plus many other bonus kids that called her MawMaw.

She loved the Lord, her family and friends.

Friends are cordially invited to the visitation with the family on Friday, April 8, 2022 from 5:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. at Jeter Memorial Funeral Home, 311 N. Friendswood Dr., Friendswood, Texas 77546 (281) 992-7200.  The funeral service will be held on Saturday, April 9, 2022 at 11:00 A.M. at Jeter Memorial Funeral Home.  For those who would like to attend, a graveside service will follow at 2:00 P.M. at Rosewood Cemetery, 2602 S. Houston Ave., Humble, Texas 77396.

Pallbearers will include Don Copeland, Colby Coyle, Hunter Coyle, Brandon Koppe, Chip Hamons and Lucky Perry.  Honorary pallbearers will include Billy Coyle, Joe Jenkins and Billy Scott.

In lieu of flowers, the family ask donations be made to Resolutions Hospice. 12600 N. Featherwood Dr., Houston, Texas 77024 (832) 588-6083.

    I recognized your mom's photo but could not put a name to it until I read that she retired from Eckerd's. I remember her smiling face whenever we went into Eckerd's. So sorry for you loss and may God's peace be with you.
