January 26, 1940 – February 15, 2022
Dianne Snow Millen, 82, passed on to her heavenly home on Tuesday, February 15, 2022, in Webster, Texas. An amazing wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, she was adored by her family and friends.
Dianne was born January 26, 1940, in Progreso, Texas, to Julia and William Tullis. She was raised in the Rio Grande Valley and attended Weslaco High School, where she was a member of the National Honor Society. She was athletic and excelled at basketball and graduated in 1959.
That same year, she married the love of her life, Royal Owen Millen. She worked for Southwestern Bell and First National Bank, from which she retired. She and Royal would raise six children together. They would retire to New Braunfels, where they would spend many years creating fun memories with family.
Dianne loved her three brothers and would protect them at all costs. She had a love for animals and even had a pet raccoon. She loved her children above all else. She kept and cherished a collection of her children’s crafts. She enjoyed her children’s activities and was proud of their many accomplishments. Dianne was an awesome cook, being self-taught, and cooking for her family since she was a little girl. She had a fun, mischievous side and laughed a lot, often until she cried. She was a joy to her family, whom will miss her smile and laughter, but are grateful for the blessing of being loved so well by her. They rejoice in the fact that they will see her in heaven again one day.
She was preceded in death by her husband of over 60 years, Royal Owen Millen; a daughter, June Snow Millen; her parents Julia and William Tullis; and brothers Arthur Tullis and Thomas Tullis.
Giving thanks always for her love and her life are her five sons, Royal E. (Rhonda), Jason (Georganne), Arthur (Diane), Gregory (Carli) and Burdette (Shannon); her grandchildren, Royal A. (Joel), Tyler (Kendall), Jason A., Matthew, Meagan, Ryan, Olive, Emme, Holden, Payton Roberts (Madeline), Ashlyn Arnold (Alex) and Preston Roberts (Kirsten); and her great-grandchildren, Luke and Eden Millen, Corley Jane and Eden Roberts, and Scarlett and Stevie Arnold; a brother, Billy Tullis (Kathleen) and many other nieces, nephews and extended family.
Graveside services will be held Tuesday, February 22, at 10:00 a.m. at Roselawn Cemetery and Mausoleum, McAllen, Texas with Mike Wilhite officiating.
