In Loving Memory

Charles Dwayne Krampota

April 13, 1962 – September 23, 2022

Charles Dwayne Krampota, 60, of Alvin, Texas passed away on Friday, September 23, 2022 shortly after responding to a mobile home fire earlier that morning.  He was born April 13, 1962 to Alfred and Edna Zimmermann Krampota in Alvin Texas.

He was raised and attended school in Alvin, Texas. During high school he worked at his dad’s filling station. After graduating he started working for Stanton's Shopping Center and farm in Alvin. While continuing to work for Stanton's farm he started his 38-year career at Alvin ISD, starting as part of the Grounds Crew and working his way up to Mechanical Systems Manager. Charles knew everything there was to know about Alvin ISD, he had the blueprints to every school in his head. After getting off work, Charles would go to Mullens Auto to repair his race car and work on customers vehicles. Charles was also in the Alvin Volunteer Fire Department from 1980-1988 then rejoined in 2010. During his 20 years of service, he was Captain, Secretary, Photographer, and in the Honor Guard. He won several awards for his photographs through the department. Charles was awarded Fire Fighter of the year in 2013 and 2014. Charles was a very hard-working man that would do anything for anyone. Night or day you could call him, and he would be there for you whether it was emotional support or needing a repair done. He would never ask for anything in return and was just happy to help.

Charles married Melissa Goudeau January 11, 1986 and 9 years later they had their first and only child, Seth Krampota.

He was a member of Sandy Point Bible Church and while attending he volunteered to participate in the Uplifted Hand Bells program.

Charles loved racing his stock car at Texas Thunder Speedway and riding his motorcycles. He loved fishing, skiing, and spending time with family and friends. Charles loved helping his son with his race car and attending his races.

Dad was the hardest working and most dedicated man I knew. I could ask him for anything, and he would make it happen no matter how much he had going on. I couldn't ask for a better dad.

He is survived by his son Seth Krampota, former wife Melissa Krampota, and many other relatives and cherished friends of the Krampota family.

Friends and family are cordially invited to the visitation on Saturday, October 8, 2022 from 10:00 A.M. to 12:00 P.M. with the memorial service to begin at 12:00 P.M. at Alvin High School Performing Arts Center, 802 S. Johnson St. Alvin, Texas, 77511.

In lieu of flowers, please make donations to Alvin Volunteer Fire Department in Charles's honor, 801 E. South St., Alvin, Texas 77511.

Condolences may be sent to the Krampota family in care of Jeter Memorial Funeral Home at www.jeterfuneralhome.com.

We have known Charlie for many years. We were saddened to learn about Charlie. He was a good dedicated firefighter, and a good friend to us as well. We will miss our conversations with Charlie that we had whenever we saw him around town or at the annual Fire Fighter's Banquet. We are so sorry for your loss. God bless your family as you work through this most difficult time in your life.

Charles I'm sorry we never got the chance to jump out of that plane together I mean I didn't really want to but I was going to because you asked. I really wish I had told you how much of a great father figure you were to my daughter, Delysia really needed that and she very much appreciated you for all you did for her as did I.
