Bobby Earl (Bob) Johnson, 86, of Pearland, Texas passed away on December 25, 2022. He was born September 11, 1936 at Baylor Hospital in Dallas, Texas to James A. (Jack) Johnson and Edna E. Standard Johnson.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife of 44 years Edna F. Johnson in 2003 due to cancer, his son Bobby B. Johnson age 46 in 2011, his brother in 1945 and one in 2005, his sister in 1979.
Bob is survived by 3 nephews and 3 nieces. Also by many friends in the Pearland area where he had lived since 1968.
He proudly served in the United States Army in the early 1960’s and was discharged with rank of SP-4. He studied at Northeast Louisiana State College for 2 years. Bob worked for several industrial contractors in various capacities from Job Foreman to upper management. He lastly worked for La-Z-Boy Furniture Galleries for 15 years, retiring in 2003.
Friends are cordially invited to the visitation with the family on Friday, December 30, 2022 at 10:00 A.M. with the funeral service to follow at 11:00 A.M. at Jeter Memorial Funeral Home, 311 N. Friendswood Dr., Friendswood, Texas 77546 (281) 992-7200 with Rev. Jay Williams officiating. Interment will follow at Forest Park East Cemetery in Webster, Texas. He will be laid to rest next to his wife and son and where his parents, sister and brother-in-law are also interned.
